just to make things clear.. i am not trying to be difficult or offensive to you plavt.

i am only posting what i know from my friends' experiences and thus i understand what cutiebabe is talking about. sometimes, we need to be in their situations to know and understand what they experiences. thus no one can say whether it is right or wrong.

of course for me, i don't have the experiences. all i can say is that i have friends with airlines as cabin crews and when we meet up, they relate their experiences to me.

sorry if i offended you, u might have lots cabin crews friends in middle east airlines and lots of airline managers friends in UK. so my apologies here if i wronged you. 8-)

and in my posts i did not say anything bad about QR :). i just said that i understand cutiebabe cos my friend used to be there.

u seems to know a lot about how different airlines recruit their cabin crews and how they handle their crews and their rules n regulations. which is cool. 8-)

cutiebabe wrote:is not just that, u must come here n experience just only u will know how bad it is.

We don even can go out if u have standby or flt tmrw. Thats mean most of the time just stay at home the safer. Can u imagine their memo out after they terminated ppl.

If u r here, u will wondering theres so many things waiting for them to do but yet they doing somethinglike this...u can just sigh..

Every flt u will heard, "this is my last flt" or i'm leaving end of the month. Those ppl can stay here for long most r the ppl from the third world country eg, phillipines, india, thai and etc.Coz to them is good $. Is very hard to c Singaporean can stay for more 2 yrs n here have alot of Malaysian too but they r MAS contract crew n usually after their contract n go back too...n stranger will ask where r u frm, if Malaysia or Singapore n they will ask, "WHY U R HERE?"
Hmmm.. the other day i went to Etihad interview i happen to know 2 friends from Qatar and they just resign too.. I was told by them that QA is really a bad airline tooo and that 2 i happen to know rather break the contract and pay the money rather to stay in there... is it really that bad? haha she told me the cabin crews are v rude and normally u wont see singaporeans ard

Folks as a starter pick up a copy of the 'Lonely Planet' tour guide there are some good sections on dangers and annoyances, society and conduct and women travelers not to mention a number of other issues. Here are some links to start you off.

:) It's not that bad, CSD / CS / F2 are really friendly and polite to one another. Going to QR building every morning is like my second home. Of course, everybody has a different story about QR. Some may like it, some may not. There's a reason to the 'tight leash', we have CC from all over the world. They have to imply rules to ALL, though only some had abuse it. :)

Pls Pls Consider Carefully

Dear Guys,
If you all are interested in flying pls pls try to make Qatar you last choice to fly in!!Unless you are desperate to be a cabin crew!!! This company doesn't have nice welfare ppl at all which I think is really horrible ppl to work with. They came out with topid rules stating at no visitors are able to visit you on the day of your flight. You have to be back 12hrs before the next duty if not you will be grounded for 6 bloody months which makes you life so difficult to travel. If you want to go back your country you have to take exit permit to come back and it will take you like 3 working days to collect it if not they will they you that they did not receive or they lost it.

Yes i have work before I just came back not long ago and that was the lastest memo no visitor allow on the day of ur flights... I was very disappointed with the company and they really make ppl discrimate ppl frm other nationality.. Which is one of the worst thinks. If gals walking on the road ppl will stop by and ask how much !! ( Which mean hoe much are you will to be paid and slp with them.) Hopeless ppl... with no basic education and respect.

as for SIA, i guess even u have standbys, u are allow to go out and do your own stuffs. i don't think SIA does ground or keep their crews at home when they have standby.
Much depends on what you mean by go out; the point is if you are on standby you must be available at a moments notice. Talk to just about any ailrine manager, including here in the UK, they all know about the flight attendant that cannot be found when needed. By the way being available does not mean you have to stay in your home.
U also know how thats other airlines! But not for Qatar airways! As long as u r on standby u have to stay at home! And if u have standby next day, u have to come back 12 hours b4 that. Erm, and its written in the memo.
