uh-huh, its a sure thing, will keep u update, no worries. ;)
hmm, im able to speak in malay and mandarin, only basic cantonese bt
as far as i understnd QR require fluent eng bt nt sure abt other languages thou.
haha, if im able to speak in other western language, tht will be gd.
i assume ure able to converse in many languages? :)
yes, hopefully, im looking forward fr next recruitment.

i was also like that on my first attempt but it will be a valueable experience even though you cant make it through its a lesson. As sgexpat mentioned you learn something from it and improve on it and come back again and again i saw people coming like 3 or more than that they're motivated so should you if u really wanna fly, i think they do notice that. You'll be more experinced on your second or third attempt and hopefully will find out what they're lookin for. From my experience it is almost i mean very hard to get accepted on the 1st attempt, so just treat this time as a practice session so don't miss out however do ur best who knows luck comes and you might get selected!
I'm only fluent in english and turkish and some basic chinese. If you're fluent in another foreign language it is an asset!! i'll also have to learn a new language!
There're stablishing a new flight to tokyo, sydney, ankara, bangolore, etc... by this year 2010. So my guess is they'll recruit more /they always recruit ppl all around the world , i suppose turnover rate is also likely to be pretty high compare to other airlines/and will come back to SG soon maybe in3 to 4 months time i'm not so sure you gotta keep an eye on their website and start preparing from now on.
I'll also need to prepare soon XoXo :D :o
And the last thing i suggest you'd better purchase a book that will be guidance for you to the entire process, that is specifically targeted at getting a job as a stewardess. Mine hasn't arrived yet! so i couldn't read it  anyways that will be like a source of valuable info

thanks lolika and iplaydressup, im from manila BTW Ive been in Singapore for over two years now. agree on the "practice session", its my first time and it was a great experience even though i didst get shortlisted, next time would be better though. as what i read in the website most of the OD in the coming months would be female only. Probably next OD would most likely be Emirates in the coming months.

@ Sgexpat , for male applicants it is sort of challenging as 80% of the qatar crews are females i understand that ,@iplaydressup,sgexpat i guess we may bump up into each other on an interview soon lol :P it is actually better to get to know the people coming that day so that you won't be just sitting there all alone looking like a pessimist.
I personally prefer Emirates, there's more to be offered there and i love the costume and the red lipstick!
QR
You can also apply for Etihad but you need to submit ur resume first and wait wait wait wait.... that's what i heard. It'll be a long wait, and finally after you get ur reference number and approval you can go for an interview.

-lolika yes, i agree on tht. as fr me, i read more on the personal side of
others' experience, so yeah, like u mentioned, maybe i shld get a book
on tips and advices on becoming a FA as a career to guide myself.

recruitment and we wont be alone  oh yes! i perfer Emirates too!
