Thanks for your valuable comments !

I fully agree that its a balance between work and life that really matters.
In UK I have a more challanging role with more responsibilities and bigger budgets but very little personal life as I will leave home at 7:45 and back at 7PM stressed and sleep still thinking about work . . . and same routine starts in the morning . . .

So the only time you get to spend with the family is at weekends.

And feedback from people is that you get a much better life in Singapore even though you won't get large projects to run . . .

So we are getting more inclined towards moving . . .

Funny thing that.....

I was going to post something similar earlier this morning when I first saw this. Not sure who he's been talking to but it would seem that the info from general consensus is that you work longer hours here then almost anywhere else.

I would have to agree with that but only to a certain point. Line roles or line management roles are certainly longer hours with less reward.
