Well, i am taking my PPCDL now. Waiting for my theory test date. I was initially pondering what I was going to do with my PPCDL but it made me realise that there is a whole world out there to discover with the boat licence. I will be renting and my instructor gave the contact number of a boat owner who rents out his boat. With the PPCDL, we can rent a boat for gatherings filled with fun in the sun and sea. Plus, it motivates me to strive to buy my own boat soon.

Anyone game to join me when i rent a boat once i pass?

Cheers.
Hi nurrshahidna,

Interested to join you after I get my PPCDL license. Please keep in touch.

hello,
normally they provide you with some test questions and answers
at the venue where you take your theory lessons.

Or do you intend to take the test as an autodidact?

Good luck!

autodidact = do you selfstudy or...???
strange that you don't have examples of the questions...
do you receive a syllabus about the theory?
Where did you do your theory?? and how much they charged you?
When is your test, will see if i be able to help you before your test,
you need 26/30 to pass....
see my advise in earlier posts in this thread.

Hi NC 30, i took the lesson last 2yrs at Water Venture for $260 if im not wrong which consists of 1day theory lesson and 1day practical lesson. I've misplaced the theory book. The Capt who taught us seems to be that lame that most of us does not seems to understand what he is teaching. As this 9 June is my first attempt of taking the theory lesson, i do not know of what questions will be ask. I need this license badly. Hope u can guide me to theory questions. U may mail me at [email protected]

Boat/Yacht license Boat Share

Post by korse52 » Wed, 03 Jun 2009 5:55 pm

Hi
I just passed my test. I also did it with Capt Jon Lum. This guy is absolute great and fun to learn with.
Check for all the details in the message from NC30 above.

Anyway, I'm also looking for somebody who could think about the idea of a power boat 'ownership-sharing'.

Interested or keen? send email to [email protected]

Cheers
Pat
