it was my 2nd time going for the walk-in and unfortunately, i failed the first interview again. any tips from the gals who passed and what did you wear for the interview?

next, may i ask what do they check during the medical and do you need to strip? i had scoliosis but it was corrected during an operation 5 years ago. there's a very big scar on the side of my body but of course, it's not visible if i'm wearing clothes.

really hope you gals can advise as i really really want to be an air stewardess.

also, do you think my chances will be reduced if i am married?

thanks in advance!
hmm.. i used to have scoliosis too but mine is a mild one. the doc discharge me after few years of observations.

don't think your marriage status will affect you much as there's this girl in my group was also married and she manage to pass round 1 & 2. Not sure whether she make it or not coz i fail at round 2.. keke..

definitely they will bound to ask you whether you have any family plans coz they dun wanna employ crews who work one or two years. So i guess you might wanna prepare yourself if they were to ask you these qns.

Hi SQhopeful....

I wore semi formal....the point is u need to know what u look nice & stunning in, & u wear that...the colour matters...wear colours u look great in....in one word....know yr strength, magnify it....use clothes, colours to enhance it...

During Medical, its up to the doc to access u....u can of course ensure her u r fine & all...preferably, bring along documentations from the prev doc....to show her....she wont ask u to strip, but she will "touch" u...understand??...she will ask u if u had operation before...u need to declare that...then she touch yr spine & check if its straight...& will be asked to go X-ray....

Married? i am not sure...but i guess during the interviews they will ask u lots of qns & concerns pertaining to that...just be prepared to ans...if u can give them a satisfactory ans...it shouldnt be a prob :D

Hi All...

I just went for the recent walk-in on the 20 oct. Long queue and all.

This is actually not my first time trying. I tried in Jan 2007 and got to the management round but got rejected. So I had to wait 6 months before I tried the 2nd time, which was in July. I got booted out during the skin check. And the most recent one, which would be my third try already. Got booted out at skin check again. I'm feeling quite disappointed as I have been doing my best in keeping my skin in good condition. Well, guess that I just got to keep on trying!

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Hi Stussygoes,

as i have mentioned before, they are not merely looking at yr complexion & skin during kebaya....few things they are looking may be if u r proportional....teeth...yr smile, yr hairstyle suits yr face shape....yr body, posture....yr response to instructions...etc

im sure they are looking for more, if not, there are simply too many gals for them to choose from....like venie mentioned...first impression!

Do you think blood donations' scars will show when you wear SIA's uniform? Although the scars are small, they can be seen easily so i was just wondering.. It's located at the arm bend area..

what happens if they do ask you whether you are using any concealor? better to be honest? was thinking they might boot you out if you do say yes... :-|

Hi CelT,

Yup! I agree with you. It could be more... Meanwhile, I will continue to improve myself and will try again the next round.

Thanks for advice!

Hi Softie,
I wouldnt recommend Jeans....Semi formal to me doesnt necessarily means a office shirt & skirt...it can be a nice top, with a nice cardigan & bottom...even a dress is fine.... :D

when i stand, i put my hands in the front....must listen as the others are talking...dont be in a world of yr own....dont even show them u r thinking of your answers & not listening to others....they will rule it plainly as "rude".... :D

aphrokittee, no worries =)

its perfectly alright to be honest if they asked if you used concealer.

they are testing ur temperament in a way and if u know how to best project urself =)
