IB Programme or IGCSE?

Hi, I am trying to enrol my son into Year 9 in an International School and am a little confused as to whether he should enrol in one that provides IGCSE in Year 10 or the IB MYP which eventually leads to the IB Diploma in Year12. Which will be a better programme in terms of entrance into Universities in Australia? Or should I be looking at the Australian VCE? Has anyone done any reserach ? Thanks
