There's a bus route that is very frequent from Suntec - the SBS Transit bus 36.
It goes from Orchard to the East coast via Suntec. So maybe the best suggestion will be somewhere in the East Coast? Near Marine Parade - as there is a bus stop there for the 36 bus.

We've been looking too; as well as the #36 there is also the #70 bus which stops on the Nichol Highway outside Suntec. Go to www.sbstransit.com.sg search by bus service number and look at the map - it will give you a good idea of where to look.

We thought the Serangoon Central area might be ok, as it is also close to an MRT line.

Hi fx8fx,

How many rooms are you looking for?

Regarding your requirement of near Suntec and within 6 bus stop,
I would recommend the best is at Guillemard Road area.

Condos like The Waterina, The Sunny Spring is a good and popular condo. Directly opposite, it has a bus stop which has Bus 70, 16 (slower) and a shuttle bus that brings you directly to Suntec.

Location wise, it's good as there are a lot of good food around. many bus to city and to east coast too.

Regards,
Hushpub

I'm living here now , but the terrible issues are :
1. very noise during the daytime due to the frequent military flight ;
2. near the famous geylang , though it's not geylang 10 ~14 .

went house viewing yesterday with a friend and she works at Suntec too... most of the condos with one - two rooms costs her around 4 - 5.5k(5.5 for Caribbean with excellent view!)

in the end she went for the ICON at tanjong pagar... juz 1 mrt stop away from Cityhall... :D

wonderful place too.... so if u can afford abit more u can try ICON... its around 4k for partial furnished... and 4.5k for a fully furnished loft with skyview and right in front of the swimming pool-cum-jacuzzi!

guess which one we took?

Is Geylang famous because I live there? :D

Seriously, I don't find the ahem local trade a problem. It livens up the place. Anything above Lorong 22 is relatively calm (altho 24 has its moments). The other side of Geylang Road is quieter too.

The planes - yes they can be frighteningly low and shake my house but this is Singapore - you are going to have noise of some sort almost anywhere. We lived on Holland Road for 2 years and the traffic buzz was horrendous.

If I wanted to move back into a condo I would check out The Waterina.

Bayshore ?

Post by dbenne22 » Fri, 21 Dec 2007 12:55 pm

Have you thought about Bayshore Park / The Bayshore / Costa Del Sol ? There is a 341 business bus that goes door to door and drops at Suntec. I have been doing this for a year and the trip ttpically takes 25 mins. Should be able to get a 2 br for $3k.

Don.
