Re: God Existance: Yes or No

Kurozu wrote:There are many Christians in Singapore that have never questioned the existance of God nor do they want to pursue the question on the existance of God. I was born as a Catholic and I have steady going away to believe more in agnosticism. A agnostic is someone who believes that people cannot know whether God exists or not. In contrary, many Christians in Singapore believe faithfully and without a doubt God does exist.

Christians have use the intelligent design as an argument for the existence of God based on the premise that living things are explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process such as Darwin's theory of evolution, or natural selection.

On the other hand, atheists posted "The Blasphemy Challenge" on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7QVbJnSPQE that has many youtubers in the digital age questioning the existance of god and the rational behind the Bible. More than 1000 had replied to this challenge, and most declared God simply does not exist.

I hope Christians, Agnostic, Atheists and other religions sect will join in this forum I created and discuss more on issue "God Existance: Yes or No". Leave your comment, and please be nice.
I apologise as this is a little bit off topic!

I am an Atheist but I do believe in a religion. This religion is followed in all countries around world, it brings people together regardless of language and is never involved in conflicts. What it is it? FOOTBALL!! If I am wrong and there is a god then he certainly created football. Very few thing in this world can bring people together and give so much joy like the beautiful game.

Joy and death by looking at the behaviour of some of the followers in Europe and the UK. Yup. Just like normal religions.

sms..... [-X

I would've expected better of you!! UK violence has now pretty much disappeared. Gone are the days of the Chelsea Headhunters and co. It has now transcended onto the rest of the European stage I am afraid.

Sorry to take the original question off topic but had to say that.

uk,

Yeah, you're probably right. At least until you guys go to Germany that is. :P

Funny thing though, that I never understood, is that we don't seem to have that with "American" Football although we support it and baseball religiously. Guess we just ain't got no radical religion! (I don't anyway).

More than likely because it takes all day and everyone is to knackered to fight

Seriously though... the british are very passionate about their footie. Germany.. well that's an old rivalry going back hundreds of years. Now you'd think due to all the in-fighting that there's been in Europe over the last 4 or 5 centuries, mainly over God and land and titles that you'd think that there would be a 'hate' factor but we have grown out of that (in most parts I would say).

Personally speaking I don't believe in a God per se but only in something that can't be explained. Until I have proof (which I don't expect to see) I shall continue to see how life unfolds. That to me is more exciting that belief in some higher power. If people want to believe then by all means go ahead. I have no wish to desecrate anyones belief or freedom of choice. I believe in being kind to your fellow man and woman (before I get blasphemed) and cannot understand all the inter-religious hatred. Surely all the religions have one goal... be kind to all living things! It's beyond me to understand how someone can strap a bomb onto themselves and blow 100 people up and say that that is in the name of their 'god'. Surely if there was a god, they, wouldn't want us to inflict such violence and hatred to each other. I mean if you watch the animal kingdom, they kill for survival and territory, but if you look at the numbers of predators they are vastly outnumbered by their prey. We humans on the other hand are vast and spread throughout this planet and consume everything in our path.

That's my tuppence worth anyway. :D

Your right SMS there is still a bit of voilance in football but it is mainly idiot gangs beating the cr@p out of each other for fun  , it does not have much to do with football. Not sure why it doesn't happen in the US, maybe it is because it is a pain to travel to all the away games!
