Post by ponic » Mon, 17 Sep 2007 6:19 pm

Hello,

Today I got my EP approved In Principle. My salary is above 7500, I am supposed to get P1 right, where as I got a P2.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

It is a mystery as to exactly what MOM uses as a point system when approving an EP classification.

On the other hand, who cares? Either class of P pass has equivalent rights with respect to dependents and LTSV passes, and you have what you need... the right to work in Singapore.

My thoughts? Quite beaching! You have an EP. You are allowed to work in Singapore. Just because it's a P2 doesn't mean you can't earn OVER $7. What MOM says is you HAVE to earn $7 K minimum to even basically qualify for a P1. It didn't say you will get one however.

However, it would appear that you will fit in well with the local population. :P
