Honda CRV owners' gathering

Post by megarapier » Mon, 17 Sep 2007 11:51 am

I bought a Honda CRV recently in July and during my purchase at KAH motors I noticed that there is a good number of new owners of Honda CRV that are expats. I have started a club together with a few buddies of mine who has a common interest of sharing what we can do with our cars in terms of the modifications in the cosmetic sense as well as technical. We do have regular meet-ups and events and trips organised like road trips to Malaysia or locally to get to the outdoors. Most of the members are locals so you will get to mingle. Do join us if you are a Honda CRV owner. Just PM me as this is not an advert but a call to people with the same interest to share.

We are organising a October meet up with the following program. The message is as follows:

Fellow CRaveRs, it is time for our monthly meetup. First of all, we have line up two activities. One is a morning trail (Phototaking) in Punggol for some soft offroading and the other we have prawn fishing.

1. Morning trail
I believe most of you guys have seen my pics and that is where we will go for the trail. Our V is capable to take on this terrain, even for those with the Urban Kit. After which we can go for lunch and go on to the 2nd activity.

Cost - None
Time - to be confirmed. Estimated time: from 9.30am

2. Prawn fishing
For those who can only join us for the 2nd activity - prawn fishing. I and David went to check out this place C & R Fishing, place is big, with shelters, toilet and tables and chairs.

C & R have play host to a few car clubs before and they will offer us a special rate. We are allowed to bring our own food there and they too sell some light snacks and drinks too. If you are in the mood to BBQ, they provide the pit too but you have to buy the charcoal from them. Reasonable i think since you did not carry a bag of charcoal together with your raw food. And of course in the vicinity, you have all the pet/dog place where you can go and visit if you wanna skip the prawn fishing.

Below are their published rates for public.

C & R Fishing (24hours) Free Parking
70 Pasir Ris Farmway 3

Rates
$12.00 per hour
$24.00 per 2.5hrs
$36.00 per 4hrs

Bait Provided ,Chicken heart Operation Hours 8am - 12am everyday Note: Personal equipment allowed

Since we have a few new members who have just gotten their ride, wouldn't it be nice to take a break, sit down together TCSS and catch some prawns Really look forward to your participation and it is with your participation that will keep this club strong.

Feel free to enrol and participate. Cheers!
