Hi
I'm new to Singapore and this forum and me and my family are close to signing a lease at the Cote D'Azur on the east coast by Parkway Parade. We are expats from the UK so would appreciate any comments on this
condo and the surrounding area whether they are good or bad.
Thanks

If you can afford it, and it seems you do, it's a perfect place. Right next to the largest shopping mall in the east, close to east coast park and the beach, public transportation right in front (direct buses to downtown and to Eunos MRT), lively neighbourhood with lots of places for food, the best ambience in Singapore (= "east coast laid back feeling good").
What else would one wish for?

It's eating up 50% of my money each month so don't have much of a choice! Sacraficed it for no car and maid but you can't have everything in life!
thanks for your comments though, makes me feel comfortable!

Hi, We are living in cote d'azur, and we love it...Its a perfect location, we very rarely need to go anywhere other than next door for shopping etc as it has everything we need there.
We have been here since Feb and have had no issues.
Good luck with the move.

Hi
We are moving to Singapore from Hong Kong hopefully next January (it keeps getting put backwards!) and I liked the look for this apartment block and wondered if it was suitable with a 2.5 year old?
Thanks !

Hi Helen,
We have a 1 year old (just turned 1 this week) and a 3 year old and totally agree that the kids pool won it over for us. Haven't seen anything like it in the area.
We move in next Monday so should catch up as we are pretty much on our own after just arriving in Singapore!

Hi
We have just got back from a trip to Singapore and went to see an apartment in Cote D'Azur and really liked it.
I just need to convince my husband on a few points! He will have a commute to Raffles Place and wants to know if it is easy to get a taxi in the morning around 7.30 or earlier.
Also are there any
International Schools nearby or is there a big commute to schools?
Thanks in anticipation!

Not too sure about Taxi's as my husband takes the bus, but right next door in Parkway Parade there is a large taxi rank and there seem to be offices above so the chances are he'll probably pick a cab up off the rank from there.
Re. Intl Schools, we are still deciding on either Eton House or Chatsworth. Chatsworth is definitely within walking distance but Eton house is a little bit further away but runs a school bus each way - cost is around S$1500 per annum from Parkway Parade I believe.
Hope this helps!

We never have any probs with taxi's, we dont go to parkway to get one as there is always a queue here so we just stand outside
condo put arm out and we always get one with no probs. On the occation when we book one the longest weve had to wait for it to come is 10 mins, so taxi's wont be a prob for you.
Hope this helps

Hello everybody,
we're relocating from Shanghai to Singapore. One of our new home options could be Cote d'Azur.
After living in China for 7 yrs having a car AND a driver and, now trying to face the fact of having no car nor driver in Singapore, I'd like to know about the MRT.
How long does it take f.ex. from Eunos MRT Station to Ochard Rd?
I checked the Parkway Parade's web page and they seem to have almost everything there. The shopping mall is a short walking distance from Cote d'Azur?
Thanks for any reply

12 minutes from Eunos to City hall, then change. Another 5 mintues from City Hall to Orchard. Total about 25 minutes incl. waiting.

About 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Thanks

only 25min? That's not bad considering the time I have to sit in the car in Shanghai to get.... basicly anywhere...
We have a daughter, 1yr old, I understood there are families with small children at Cote d'Azur?
