I don't know about other expats - but i find i don't have enough hours in the day to do all that singapore has to offer. It helps that I have a pretty full-on job, but all my spare time is packed and I don't shop !!
gym, power plate, martial arts, cycling past changi point, swimming, pilates, yoga, eating at hawker centres, massage, facials, scrubs, wine tasting, and world class (and cheap) concerts & theatres, the GP.
I have lived all over the world, and i love singapore. the weather is fab for exercising. I have an update on SISTIC and have been to some amazing ballet, jazz, pop, and theatre. And its all affordable compared to the UK (where I was born)
There are some incredible restaurants, that rival some of the fine dining establishments in Europe. And at the lower level there is more good cheap eating than in europe.
Shopping is the only thing I don't like in Singapore - its too in your face, but I use eBay and have as many jimmy choos & manolo's that a girl can desire. Singapore clothing alteration services are fantastic so everything i have off the peg is no made to measure.
