Scalp Treatment

Post by prkravi » Fri, 14 Sep 2007 2:19 pm

I will try and visit National Skin Centre, i think each person is unique and would want to have a detailed analysis done.
Also i believe some food allergy could be triggering this as well.
Any recommendations for a Food Tolerance Test?
Thanks...

I'd change the diets and shampoo.

Singapore Water causes hair fall ?

Post by maxmisc » Mon, 10 Mar 2008 9:41 pm

Hello Everybody ,

I have recently moved from India to Singapore.(2 months now)
I am suddenly observing a lot of hair fall . My Indian friends who stay with me in the same room share the same complain.
I feel its because of the change in water or the chemical contents of the water.
Is it true that change in water can cause hair fall? specifically Singapore's water?

readers please reply !!! your reply is very valuable for me !

I recently tried this Rene Furterer Complexe 5. It's a pre shampoo essential oil. Massage onto scalp before shampoo, wait for at least 15 min then shampoo off. I also use their shampoo Forticea.

You can find them at Guardian Pharmacyand Robinsons. I've used it for a month or so, twice a week and noticed very little hair loss on the bathroom floor now. Hope this helps!

i used to have oily scalp but dry hair and somehow after i shifted from west to central singapore, my hair seem to fall more than before! i don't know if it a psychological thing or that i didn't notice in my old place my hair fall rate.

anyway, i started using this Deep Scalp Follicle Treatment and Volumizer and my scalp sebum production has really reduced! and best thing is i found less hair fall after every shampoo now. and its from organic ingredients so i feel safe to use it after every wash.

Can get from www.shinorganic.com
http://www.shinorganic.com/productdetails.asp?id=162
cheapest i can find in singapore even after currency conversion.

It could be the water, but what are you going to do? You live here now? Singapore's tap water is potable.
It will cost to see a doctor or run tests.
The change in everything, climate, humidity, food, water, stress in a new environment, it could be anything and everything to cause the scalp or skin's irritation, balance and hence the hair fall.

Get the cheap braggs apple cider vinegar from NTUC and follow the instructions on the links. do not use drinking vinegars, for body application, far too expensive.

Dandruff is related to yeast and oily skin , normal skin should have a ph acidity of pH 4, let the vinegar sit on the scalp a few minutes. Vinegar is the same pH value as skin, and will break down the oily scalp. If its not hereditary, it maybe be a metabolic disorder, because of a lack of essential compounds, drinking vinegar will balance the body pH and metabolism.

You should also check your urine pH, if it is to alkaline, you need to start drinking vinegar...there are loads of links on the internet for vinegar and hair treatment....it's cheap and effective.
