Hi
I am planning to relocate to Singapore. For a family of 5 (Self. Wife, 6 months old kid, Mother and father) how much would be the cost of living. we lead a comfortable life but not lavish.
also i would like to know if i need to ship things to Singapore or can i buy them locally? Will my parents be considered as dependants?
Thanks in advance

That really depends on what you call "comfortable". Would you consider owning a car "comfortable" or "lavish"? It really depends on that. A comfortable life in the US would be almost considered lavish here

Get them locally.

For your family size, on an average the expenses per month including rent would be around SGD 4000/- on a minimalistic basis.
Hope that figure will help you to gauge...
