Moving to singapore with 18mth old- need some advice!

Post by zoed123 » Tue, 04 Sep 2007 10:28 pm

Hi

I'll be moving to Singapore from the UK around Jan/Feb 2008 with my husband and son who'll be 18mths by then. I'm trying to get an idea about pre-schools nursery places. Can anyone give me a rough idea whats out there and the general fees. My husband will be working in the international business park Jurjong but we don't know as yet where we plan to live. He doesn't want a long journey to work and i want to be able to walk to the nursery. is this possible?

Any info greatly appreciated. The more I look on the internet the more confusing it gets!

Thanks

Zoe. :?

hi zoe. perhaps this thread could give you idea:

http://www.singaporeexpats.com/forum/ftopic40231.html
The MOE has a list of local as well as foreign-system kindergartens here:
http://www.moe.gov.sg/preschooleducatio ... garten.htm

If you already know the area where you'll likely be based, you can also use this to search for nearby preschools:

http://www.childcarelink.gov.sg/ccls/ho ... ccSrch.jsp
the approx fees are also indicated in the 2nd link.

goodluck with the move!

As far as I can remember ,near IBP,you can only find HDB estates, not private apartments. However, clementi is a little close to IBP,,and there are some private apartments there as well.
Always have a smile on that face!
