Have another careful look, if this is the same ad
Flight Stewardesses (Singapore Permanent Residents) Click here for more details
Japanese Flight Stewardesses. Click here for more details
Singaporean/ Malaysian Flight Stewardesses/ Stewards. (Residing in Singapore) Click here for more details.
Malaysian Flight Stewardesses/ Stewards. Click here for more details.
hi plavt
what i mean is these two adv are different :
Flight Stewardesses (Singapore Permanent Residents) Click here for more details
AND
Singaporean/ Malaysian Flight Stewardesses/ Stewards. (Residing in Singapore) Click here for more details.
both applications are different and have different education req.
and what i am talking about, is the degree holder adv (for singapore PR) :

I see what you mean; that is nothing unusual, as far as I know and from previous advertisements that has always been the case. When I went to the website and typed cabin crew in the search box that is what came up. The reason for the difference is probably because there are fewer positions and no doubt the nationalities concerned will be kept on the same route, the same way British Airways does with its' Singaporean staff.

hi dogueville,
i guess it will be better with lens..
i guess u just have to be confident and be able to present yourself well... just remember it doesnt matter what is the answer because they are jus looking for someone who can present themselves and be at ease with people..
on the other hand... i got booted out at the first round.. so... u might want to seek advice or scroll back for more advice ya.. hee hee

yup, nothing unusual. i did not say anything regarding it or whatsoever.
just re-posting the adv for downtown and saying that it is for PR in singapore and need a degree. thats it.
hope that helps.

I received a reply but I did not have 5 GCE credits though I'm in the midst of taking my dip in a private school. I'm kinda worried I might waste my time there and have them let me know I'm underqualified!

You needn't have to worry much about your qualifications. If They had invited you for the interview, They have literally given you a tick on your application with regards to your qualifications. All the best for your interview.

Thanks! That would mean I will have to leave my current job, which I LOVE so much but the pay's terrible. What a dilemma.

hey guys(and gals!),
Just wondering... is it too late to send in my application now? How long it takes for them to reply?
Btw, are the interviews usually conducted on weekends? I'm a little worried they might call me up for interview on a weekday which i might not be able to make it down due to work commitment.. Do they allow us to pospone the interview date?
Thanks!

Hi Rex,
i guess you can still send your application now...since the advertisement is still on at the SIA website.
They will email you should you be shortlisted.
So far, they had 4 sessions for the Write in ( that i know of at least )- 4 sep, 11 sep, 22 sep & 25 sep....only 22 sep is a saturday...the rest are on tuesday...but im not too sure about the next one...no harm trying yup!

They may or may not...postpone your interview...there are like overwhelming response...& should you miss the date allocated to you...u really dont know if they will give u a new slot....So, to play safe, u should really try to make it...
If this is something u really want, some sacrfices have to be made....
Its unlike other jobs, everyone is vying for this position, competition is stiff....some didnt even get the invite...so, shld u get it, u shld treasure it!

Hi all, i am new* here. I've been sending my application for an appointment since sep, but till today i hasnt receive any respond. I would like to understand if
http://sg.jobstreet.com/jobs/2007/8/s/2 ... 2.htm?fr=J <- this link didnt bring me to the right application or if is the way i fill up wrongly? Would like to check out an example of it. Or do i have to send more then once a day?
Is there any walk-in interview around the corner?
Write in as in by post or via email?

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.
