Do female doctors exist in Singapore?

Post by Splatted » Tue, 28 Aug 2007 2:15 am

The mrs is wanting to see a doctor, but would prefer talking with someone that isn't of the male gender.

Anyone know of any good female doctors in Singapore? Do they exist?

Thanks in advance.

There are a fair number of female docs. If she is looking for a gyno, check out

Family practice

She can also search at

I've been to Raffles Medical three times (twice at Ngee Ann City and once at Capital Tower) and while the doctor you get isn't certain (from what I can tell) on each occasion the doctor was female.

I second that. Ann is a very competent and friendly gyne.

Thanks everyone for your input.

My wife ended up going to Raffles Medical, as per Rhino's suggestion.

Very professional service and prompt. Much appreciated.

For some reason all the male doctor clinics she rang prior to this all want to manually examine breasts before they refer a woman on for a mammogram/ultrasound.

I know it's probably procedure, but it just left her with an icky feeling about male doctors.
