jobs without qualification

Post by kheetat_86 » Sun, 26 Aug 2007 4:33 pm

I have a diploma in Chemical Process Technology from Singapore Polytechnic. But I would like to change my career field into accountancy.

After i going to ORD at next june, I decided to look for a full time job and also study ACCA part-time. My question is, what type of full time jobs can i apply, for during my term of study, that allows me to gain experience at the same time?

Pls Advise.

Thanks,
Jared

I'm not really following you here. Are you Singapore PR? Do you have any completed educational qualifications?

As a Poly Dip holder you will be hard pressed to get any type of job in the accounting fields until you at least secure some accreditation. There is absolutely now relevance between Chemical Process and Accounting. Not sure how you would get experience prior to getting a basic LCCI first. That could at least get you a position as a Accounts Clerk maybe handling AR's or AP's or maybe handling Petty Cash transactions. At the same time I would suggest getting some lessons/courses in AccPac, or MYOB as both are very popular here for accounting software.
