Wisdom Tooth

Postby jt03 » Sun, 26 Aug 2007 1:37 am

Hi
Does anyone know how do we know whether we have enough space for wisdom teeth to grow or not. Currently i have one wisdom tooth growing and i feel my gum abit swollen. Can anyone recommend me a good and cheap dental clinic to have my teeth check? Roughly how much does it cost for checkup and also how much does it cost for removal of wisdom tooth?

Will the growth of wisdom tooth/teeth cause the rest of the teeth to become crook? Will it push the front teeth and make my teeth look protruded?

Theres a few recomendation here for good dentists:

I had my wisdom tooth pulled out years back cause it was growing sideways and it would have pushed the other teeth and make them crooked. Ofcourse I only had painful gum and had no idea I had to go through surgery!

Best thing is go see a dentist to see what the real prob is. They might do an x-ray.

I cant really recommend a cheap dental practise as I havent found any.

Hi jt03,

I have this experience too.
it's fine that your gum swollen, resin your mouth more offen too reduce the pain.
avoid all spicy & oily food it will help too.
if the tooth not grow upward but against the teeth it will effected other teeth position(crook).
Cheapest check up @ ploy clinic or JB malaysia.
Maybe other clinic, i think some of the well know clinic is having free check up you can try it out

Thanks

You can go to a local polyclinic which has dental e.d Bedok...then ask them to get a referral to national dental center..you can let them know how painful it is....and u can use CPF to get yr wisdom tooth removed...and the charges are very cheap at subsidised rate
