Hey all, can anyone recommend a good conversational Mandarin class?

the chinese chamber of commerce can help you with that.
they have a course to learn mandarin from official teachers.

a bit pricey though...

may I recommend that you use a flashcard software to help you in learning mandarin?

before you know it seems pretty good. The lite version is free :)
now you can go for "my chinese flash card" or "memory lifter"

check these out on google. that's worth it :)

good luck
