EPEC Application - Question about documents to upload

Post by Jelebi » Sun, 12 Aug 2007 1:11 am

Hello,

I want to apply for my EPEC very soon, but I'm a bit unsure of the documents which I might have to upload.

During my research I've come across differing information regarding the tertiary qualification proof. Since I don't want to mess up my chances due to some stupid avoidable mistake with the documentation, I would like to be very clear about it before I submit. So here are my questions:

1) Does it need to be a CERTIFIED COPY of the degree or will it be sufficient if I upload a scan of the original?

2) Do I have to upload the TRANSCRIPTS as well or is it enough to upload the degree?

If anyone got their degree or transcripts certified, where did you get it done? Does it have to be certified by the university?

Would really appreciate if someone who has actually done the online application (and got it approved  ) could reply!

Many thanks

hey.. EPEC is the easiest thing ever.
you dont need to get the docs certified. And you dont need transcripts. Just the degree, photo and your passport (the pages with your personal info such as Name, passport number etc).

Filling out and submitting the epec form takes about a minute - and you dont need to upload any documents with the form!

After about a day or so you will receieve an email request and then you have to upload the scans of your degree, passport and a photograph.
about a day or two later you get an email tellnig you that you have been approved and a week later you get the EPEC document in the mail :)

I got EPEC.. I have now applied for LPR .. best of luck!

Thanks arpit :D

That's great to know. I knew that I don't have to upload the documents straight away, but since you have only 7 days for uploading (in case they ask) I wanted to make sure I have everything ready beforehand.

Good that I won't need the transcripts (would have been a bit tricky to get hold of them as I'm on another continent at the moment..)

So thanks again for your help!

See you soon in Singapore.. I hope 8-)

I had submitted the application last night and today in the morning I already got the reply: Rejected :(

They seem to be very time efficient at least!

Like probably almost everyone, I can't see the reason why they would reject the application.. I got a good BA degree from a reputed university in the UK and a couple of years work experience.

Well it doesn't matter, I try and take it sportsmanlike - Just Wait Singapore, I'll come and prove you different !!

Have already booked my ticket for mid September.. the only problem is that I might have to go in and out of the country for a while before I secure a job.

How about professional qualifications

Post by wasabi1 » Wed, 15 Aug 2007 12:51 pm

From MOM,

A certified true copy of your tertiary academic qualification, transcript or your professional qualifications;

What would be qualified proof of professional qualifications; a resume? Something with company letterhead?

As far as the degree it seems to say certified copy, it's my understanding, at least here in the USA the only truly certified copy is in a sealed envelope from your University, obviously I can't send that so what do I send?

In my case my work experience is much stronger than my academic qualifications so if I could focus on this it would be better.
