Currency Exchange

Post by audiojunky » Mon, 06 Aug 2007 11:03 am

Anyone knows which is the best place to exchange currency in Singapore? I know that the airports don't charge commission rates - but do they give the best rates?

Thanks!!

Hi Audiojunky,

I have heard the best rates are in Mustafa Center. The exchange offices in city should provide better rates than the airport.
With my kind regards

Upstairs at the Exchange @ Raffles Place. Numerous Tunkar Wang's there. While I cannot compare with Mustafa (never checked the differences) they are usually better than most other places within the CBD.

In CBD, you seldom get good rates. Neither in the airport.
The best rates are in Chinatown, People's Park. I never check out Mustafa though. Anyway, those *official* exchanges opened by banks don't give good rates.

Or try Lucky Plaza if you're on Orchard. Most of the time, the rates are negotiable, so you might want to do some research first.
