In the words of a certain sports shoe......

Just do it. Quit. You don't need therapy, you just need to want to do it for your self and for no other reason. Otherwise you are just stopping and not quitting. Stopping is like pulling up to a stop sign at the corner. It's only temporary until you start again.

Just Quit!

I did after smoking for 37 years of anywhere from 1 to 4 packs a day. I've now been smoke free for over two & a half years now.

Sms has a point; I have heard from others including a reputable doctor that the hypnotherapist's 'spell' eventually wears off so you would need 'booster' visits. More money for the therapist continued inconvenience for you - maybe you need a hobby.

I can personally recommend Jennifer Norris at Grey Matter - you will have to look up her number or google her, I can't find her card. Although the guys posting before have a point about just put the ciggys down, I needed some help when I quit 7 months ago just to get over the initial 3 or 4 days. It wasn't so much for the addiction or habit part, but for the major malfunctioning mood swings I always went through every time I tried to quit before. The hypnotherapy in my case did help and I went for one touch up session on day 5 afterwards and here I am 7 months later smoke free! Good Luck, and remember it is easier than you thik it is!
