it used to be once every 2-3 months. now its like every month. so lots of opportunites to try! silkair, etihad, emirates, qatar, gulf, jetstar asia, tiger have recruitments usually every 3-4 mths?

well sometimes its not about the answer you give. sometimes the interviewers are looking out on how you think on the spot and come up with an answer in less than a few seconds. sometimes its about how you present yourself and speak in public. you just have to be confident and keep smiling. sometimes there isn't really a perfect answer, its just about how you can convince the interviewers that your image and personality fits the job.
hey..thanks for the information..as my mum told me...my personality and attitude not fit to be one..moreover i can't look for a living using a mouth to talk

My family wasn't as supportive either, it can be really demoralizing. Still, you can't see yourself as how others see you. Change your personality, change your attitude ... if you had to. You are young and should be open to changes. Heed the necessary advices but filter off those who tells you impossible or never. Coz' you can do it, it's just how committed you are. :) You will be flying one day, don't give up. :)

Hi Pink petals,

Thanks! I'm already 27.. hee hee.. I had tried for SIA since 23.. At that time, was still sending in our applications.. Only recently SIA then conduct walk-in interviews..

hey you have dissapointed me..i am just 19 years old...don't tell me that i will tried until i reach 35 years old
Hi downtown,
Well, I'm not trying to disappoint you just that during my time, SQ requirement was very strict. But I think now is better? As currently SQ is facing shortage of crews and they are conducting frequent walk-in interviews.

Cheers!

I believe sometime is not the answer that u gave but also the way u speak, the choice of word that you used and the attitude and behaviour u present in front of the interviewer.

The interviewer are well trained to look up for this. :)

I was lucky number 1 too. I think luck do plays a part. I mean if you're lucky number 1 then u just gotta be spontaneous. no time for quick thinking too. But the later ones get to hear ur answers and improve from it.

but then again, there is no right or wrong answer. but be sure to speak proper english, maintain proper body language, smile n eye contact!

Downtown,

Just wanna share my experience with u, I was the 2nd last girl to talk in the 1st round of interview. When it was my turn, the interviewer doesn't even look @ my face! When I was talking I thinking... "opsss... I must be way too old. That's why they didn't even bother to look @ me".... so when I was done, I just stood there. Didn't know what to do. It's was a little awkward cause I don't even know whether they were listening to me and finally one of them look up and gave me smile... sort of telling I may sit down. Despite of them not looking @ me when it was my turn to talk, I was selected to go for the next round.

When we first walk in, we were being brief on what we need to talk abt, it was during that time the interviewer scan us through for our appearance I guess...

heyy girl.. you have to have confidence in yourself! if you yourself don't think you're "the one", how are you going to convince the interviewers that you're "the one" that they're looking for, right? :)
when strange things happen, they call it fate.
