there're so many girls (or guys) has been trying so hard, even though they fail so many times (me too.. keke..) yet they never give up, which i think that should be the spirit... i believe that you wont wanna regret in life that, "you din try hard enough for this and that... blah blah blah..."
and if it's the pay which is the reason you join, i think you might wanna think again coz as a cabin crew, it's not just about smiling and looking good... and it's not as simple as juz serving them drinks and food... there're much more than all these...
hi Venie...
i totally agree with what you said
good luck for the interviews

........just some info to share.............i ask my SIA frd one.......
Everyone is asking about the pay package, what i was told is basic pay is ABOUT $1300 (not sure whether include grooming allowance already)...depending on qualification....flying pay per hour is $7.50

(ONLY).....+ allowance...and i think even turnover flights got allowance..but very little only...i think is abt $50??? then layover is a lot more.... i heard from another frd if fly super long haul like non stop to new york..total time spend to n fro will be around 7-8 days approximately....then the amt of money u get paid for this kind of flight is abour 1k.....(+ or -, i dunno

) And also....the graduity that will be paid after 5 yrs...........is $12k only not 40-50k...this one is confirm with 2 SIA frd..............anyway sometimes we also dunno how the policy is like...so if we want this as our job...i guess money is not the only issue...........is the experience that counts right..............
Hey any suggestion to whether going to 25th or 26th interview would have lesser people???
Good Luck to those trying........this is my 2nd attempt....hope things goes well!!!

what...i thought it is $3500 ...i may else work with my current job now since i have difficulties getting selected...
well, to me...

Hi there..............i share the same thots as you..........but well people still work for money so i think i could just share the info.............personally for me......i join for the experience..........i wanna get in touch with diff people from around the world........it is just a diff experience which what u can get from working in an office.......3.5k is actually not alot...with a degree and a few more years...you can just easily climb to that salary or even get more after that........but flying experience is not what u can get from sitting inside an office........... Yes.......so for people who wanna join flying industry.............it will be for the dreams!!!!!

anyway they seem to be recruiting monthly? lol.... o.O
Hi Rurik0,
Yes. You are right. At this moment SQ will be recruiting every month and will try to clear the applicants within a month compared to the recruitment last time which was conducting every 2 months and at least 1.5mth of recruitment process, now is a lot shorter. It is because currently SQ is facing a huge shortage of crews because a lot of crew left after taking their 6 months bonus.
Anyway, good luck to those who are trying!!
Cheers!
Paige

Paige: Remember me? Are you trying again ?

Hi Mouse & 12345,
Nope, I'm not a crew and I had stopped trying liao.. Guess I just don't have the luck and I'm already quite old to fly liao.. hehe..
Anyway, all the best to those of you who are trying!!
Cheers!
Paige

Blame yourself... Don't blame other people for disappointing you. I've seen people at the age of 18 work as Cabin Crew.
