I have never spent a Christmas in Singapore and this year my mother and husband will come out!
Do the hotels do Christmas dinners etc...?
Where is the best Hotel / Best things to do over the festive period?
Help.....

Dont think Christmas is nice in Singapore except you want to take some photos in orchard road, but that seems all. Since you are here, why not escape to the nearby place Hong Kong? I had one Christmas in Hong Kong and felt that's more like Christmas. I often visit Hong Kong for work but still feel Christmas is the best time to visit there.

Thanks,
Unfortunately I will have to work in between the festive break and wont be able to get 2 far away, and my mother will have already flown half way around the world to get here.
So Singapore it is!

All the major hotels have nice buffets. I've been to the Marriott and have found it to quite acceptable. The Hyatt is supposedly excellent, but I find it too dark for my liking. Expect to pay $100 upwards per person, more with alcohol.

Last year had Christmas lunch at the Sentosa Resort & Spa, would highly recommend had a lovely time and will return this year. As mentioned most hotels will offer Christmas lunches, menus and reservations will be out approx sept/oct, book early if you intend to go to a popular 5 star hotel as they fill up early.
