I like french manicure, pedicure too. but I always do red or pink because
I always keep my nails short.
I think men don't recognize well. maybe your husband is a bit sensitive person? or he's caring&loving you a lot!
Nail growth is less obvious with French manicures. I could get away with 4 weeks or so, especially French pedicures.

When I do red, which my husband really likes, I find that I need to be careful with chips or I have to apply top coat every 2 days to keep it fresh looking or redo manicure every 10 days or so!

I guess my nails grow quite fast and the nail growth at the moon shows the gap and the red varnish.... that bugs me!

(btw) is by the way, correct? I'm pretty sure of this but I'm not very familiar with forum/chat/sms short forms of language...

'... give you a twoliner?' What's a twoliner?

You would almost certainly have to be local correct? Here I am posting with a fisherman as an avatar and you think men don't recognize well? Your spatial awareness is like most here. Absolute zero. I've been a male for 60 years. How long have you been one? #-o ](*,)

I was giving you MY opinion as a male. And a little humour which obviously "went over your head like a lead balloon" (that probably did the same right?).

I'm not famaliar with twoliner either unless he's a guy who likes to wear makeup (Ohhh a metrosexual! :-& )

Nah, I think he just is too lazy to start his own thread and wants to go off on a tangent in this thread. As this is not the "Strictly Speaking" Sub-Forum in the General Forum, he can ask. Who cares. The answer to his query is easily answered. It's to show people that they don't have to do manual labour for a job (otherwise they would break their nails - especially the nose & ear digging little finger one. I think this is primarily a trait amongst the local Ah Beng population usually seen on males with tightly permed curly hair as well. I may be wrong though. (It is also used for snorting coke or heroin I believe - as least in a Black American context. They even paint the one nail red as a signal I believe.) :o

I agree with most of the guys here, French manicure looks really odd, bit like you used to have white nails polish and you let your nails grow.

I am with SMS on those patterns and glitter on the nails, look like a bad dose of fungus, and normally associated with cheap Karoke girls not particularly elegant.

Keep it simple, in both nails and accessories for an elegant look.

wow - are those your nails in the bottom pic? very nice! french manicures always remind me of the nineties so i tend to just go "delicacy" (for those of you from US you'll know the color - it's a staple :D ) but since you have a really long nail bed the french mani looks really tailored. i always think people who have short nail beds with a french mani look strange. on a side note - what about french pedicure? that kills me.
