I buzz my hair, I've been to two hairdressers here in Singapore and both times they've been unable to buzz it properly. First one, their clippers were a relic from the war era and kept cutting out, she then used beard trimmers and a comb to finally give me an uneven cut. The second one, I asked for a 2 cut, so she gave me a 2 on the top, and 1 on the sides, so of course I asked her to make it 1 all over, she was surprised I didn't want what I didn't ask for!

But, having said all that, I tell a lie, I've been to three hairdressers here. The third occasion was when I went to get a trim (when I had longer hair) back in December last year, it was in Chinatown, and she did an awesome job.

Actually, if someone can recommend a place that does good, cheap buzz cuts, please let me know. Even better if they use Wahl clippers.

Whenever i go to hairdresser they are alw trying to push their stuff...like hair treatment...and various products to make yr hair " gloss, straight and shiny"...seems like local hairdressers dunt know that you can not change hair structure...all this "special treatment" give only temporary effect n some products can even damage yr hair! at the end of the day why i have to change my thick curly hair into sraight volumeless type?
I dunt mind them offering me products...but when they a negging non-stop while cutting my hair it really irritates me!

Sabun Cabune - Tanglin Mall

Post by hamann » Tue, 31 Jul 2007 7:55 am

I went to Vinn at Action in Paragon and he was quite good. I have very short hair and he cut that one style well.

Then found Serene at Sabun Cabane at Tanglin Mall (they are renovating but should be on line this week). Their phone is 6235 2910 but if not answer, give them a few days as had temp location for 3 weeks. Supposed to be back this week.

Wei does my colour (blonde) and does a GREAT job. They're a great team.
Serene is pricey but prob not compared to UK. She's S$103 for a cut.

CAT777-I also have very curly hair and have just moved here...any suggestions of where to go to have curly hair cut?? Back in the States I went to a hairdresser/owner of a salon who had curly hair herself so she knew how to color/cut it just right. She will highlight some curls, and knows that my hair is curlier in one area than another, and takes that into consideration when she cuts (so one side isn't shorter than the other).

Would love any recommendations for someone who cuts/colors curly hair.
Thanks
