Guys, I was there for the Etihad on Fri, but was booted out after English Test/1-to-1 interview. May I know whether Jim (recruitment manager) tell u guys that day when they are coming to Singapore to recruit again??

BTW, I know that there are 2 current Silkair girls who got to the 2nd round on Friday. Did they ulitmately get to the finals?

Hey Singaporegirl, can't remember the names of the 2 Silkair girls. Sorry I just joined this forum so can't send u pm due to lack of posts.
They have been with Silkair for 2 years... After their names were called, everyone is rushing out the room so no time to get phone no. too.... I will be trying again... it's my dream..

Hi Ms Chan, I talked to the 2 Silkair girls- Irene & Zann. They also told me that they have an ex-silkair colleage who has also started flying with Etihad. I bet the person is you. So happy for them that they actually got thru! V lucky! Btw, how's your life at Etihad??

Sometimes I really feel that luck plays a very important part in all these airline interviews. If the recruitor likes u, they will take u no matter how your skin complexion is, how bad your grooming is, bla bla bla bla..

real info please

Post by spunkywork » Tue, 31 Jul 2007 11:06 am

i heard so much information that is all different i would like a current cabin crew with the new salary increase answer this question correctly.
q1) How much is the salary for first 6 months and after?
how many hours do u fly a month?
so the final take home pay is?....

q2) does it mean that if u get through to the final round of interviews on final day that u are accepted? or will another round of eliminations take place after that day to tell u that u have/or have not been selected days after the final interview?

q3) is there going to be another salary revision after the recent one?

q4) does anone have photos of the apts that u are styaing in?

any answers would be greatful and i really appriecaite your time.

thanks,

Congrats to those who are in and those who didn't make it through - fret not.

Please understand that if you were unsuccessful for selection on Fri/Sat, you will be able to try after 6 months has elapsed. Good luck!

Yeah!! 6months doesnt mean u just shake leg and wait till the day have come and go interview...no way! they want u to put in more effort and especially to those who are just think that by having ya education cert that is enough they wanna get in pple for those who are experience and have a lots of skills.... tats not easy man.....

But do not give up try harder and pursue whatever u can, in this world there's no end for studies! as long u can learn new things go ahead! u will achieved not only what u want but what u need in the future too!!

p:s// dun ever think that u're useless or depending on luck
there's no such thing as LUCK the main prior thing is in u ur heart urslf and ur aim in life!

Bless~

Rinnuwatanabe, I do agree with you somehow that one needs to keep improving yourself to the best within the 6 months, to be well prepared for the coming interviews. It is very important or else one will be making the same mistakes over & over again. I am sure that most of cc wannabes are always finding ways to improve to better position themselves in front of the recruitors.

But sometimes you might need to have that extra luck on that day to get you through & it also depends a lot on who your recruitors are. But have you wonder why some of girls with good complexion, good grooming, bubbly personality & good communication skills don't get in,.Those who got in are those who are the opposite.

yeah i agree too.. at my previous attempt at SQ interview, i also see many many girls with the look, personality and everything... but they didn't get in as well.. somehow luck do play a small little part...

and at times it also depends whether the interviewer like you or not. If the interviewer dun like you, no matter what you say or how excellent you spoke, they can mark you down juz because they dun like you. It happens many times...

so girls... if you were booted out at whichever rounds, juz work hard and dun give up... definitely one day you'll get what you want... jia you!!!

Hey there, sorry for late replies... well to be honest im not in any airlines but ya im experienced in a sense of my mixture of frens and im used to wrk with the SATS service before so much or less what i know ill say out. , .... so just like to tell u this ya what u guys says its true, Looks? preety, they're not stupid though, kos of preety for wat if u have no brains? those with looks they tend to over react and try to take advantage on what they think oh yeah ive everything n i can easily get what i want, but in fact they're not gd inside.... for the recruiters they are smart, in a sense of they dun go by looks, but instead they wanna knw how much they can consider u and take u, ya most pple will always says this Is just ma luck... nah... not everytime is luck, its the time what u gonna choose and what u think u can put on.... get wat i mean??
