Hey,
I'm a 24 year old Brit moving to Singapore at the end of July / start of august as work have transferred me over there. I'm looking forward to the move but it would be nice to know where other expats hang out for drinks after work and weekends. I lived in Germany for nearly two years and know how hard the first few weeks can be when you know nobody!
My office is located in the Keppel Towers and I'm also looking for a room in the area -- I hear this is close to downtown Singapore which is supposedly a cool place to hang out in the evenings? Anyway, I am only drawing a small salary, circa $3200 PCM and figure I can budget about $600-$700 for a room in a shared house/apartment. Any ideas on locations I should be looking at?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Adrian

hi! most expats hang out at Wala Wala bar in Holland Village or around Clarke Quay in the evenings/weekends. There are also plenty of cool bars in the city where you can hang out with friends. Hope you enjoy your time in Singapore! I just moved from the UK last year
