Jogging shoes

Post by joggingjoe » Mon, 09 Jul 2007 3:43 pm

Just arrived in Singapore and wonder where to buy really good jogging shoes - not just the regular stuff - for some extensive jogging. Forgot my old pair at home.
I would also prefer to try them out first right there in the shop.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheerio,

if you are serious about running (think about your joints...)
there are not 1000 brands to go for...

Favorites are Asics 2110.

some say that Nike are good (dont like them though)

Never heard of a good place for getting my feet evaluated. Royal sporting house and others mainstream stores will give you contradictory opinions and advice on shoes...

better to check the place mentioned in an earlier post and make yourself an opinion on the shoes that are best suited for you.

As for the price: Queensway is a safe choice if you are not after the latest model

Asics and Brooks are pretty good for running, certain Nike models have good cushioning too.

and yeah, like luxiana suggested, check out Queensway Shopping Centre (B1 & L1) for sports gear at reasonable prices.

if you are an avid runner, there's several runs leading up to Dec's Singapore Marathon (10,21,42k). so if you're into distance running, you're in luck :)
