Hi,
I'm interested to make a half day excursion to the remains of this demolished Japanese shrine in MacRitchie.
I would like to team up with one or more others who have similar plans.
For (a) Saturday or Sunday.
let met know.
Thanks!

Still on?
Hi,
wow I thought there were no replies as I was sure I'd be notified on my external email!
Is everyone still on for this?
To give a little more info, the trail to the ruins - of a sacred shrine for the Japanese during 40's occupation - is a branch off the Terentang Track, indeed near the Ranger Station/Tree Top Walk. However the dozens of weekend hikers here wouldnt notice the trail as it has been "reforested" at the beginning and in parts further up. You are not supposed to go there but there's is no sign either that it is forbidden. I have tried this hidden trail alone for about 15 minutes, and it seems definately doable, but the isolation in the forest frightend me sonehow and I decided to head back.
As per internet info of previous explorers, the trail should be around 2km long and some seaching for the ruins is involved. There's supposedly not much left of the ruins, but I think it's quite intruiging anyway. For the return we could either choose same way back, or follow a small dam to the Golf Link trail, the latter would include wading through the water for about 5 meters with a depth of around 1,50 meters (depending on the rain I guess!).
I agree on the proposal to leave early and have no fixed day time plans up to the weekend of 18/19 august.
Anyone still interested?
