meet new friends

Post by Belle SANTOS » Fri, 06 Jul 2007 5:58 pm

My family just moved in Singapore and we stay here in Mt. Sinai. I have a 9 year old boy and I would like to meet new friends. I used to work in Dubai for a long time as HR Manager and am now a housewife. I would like to meet Singaporeans or expat families who just moved in. Please contact me if interested to meet or chat

Hi Belle, my son, who is nearly 9, would love to meet your son. I don't know if your son is into pokemon or any kind of trading cards, but my son has been itching to meet a friend since we arrived. Not sure where Mt. Sinai is, do you mean Mt. Sinai street near Jelita? If so we are very close, we are right off Holland Rd. I can't respond personally because I just joined this forum and this is my first post, but I'll check in later.

Nice to hear from you. We are also new in Singapore. Perhaps we could meet. Yes, my son is into Pokemon and trading cards. We are close to Cold storage Jelita. It is actually the next bus stop which is Moonbeam walk and at the end of Moonbean is the mt. Sinai Drive. Perhaps we can meet at the henry park play area whenever it suits you. Looking forward

Hi, that's great you are nearby. Not sure where henry park play area is, but I'm sure I can find it. At least I can get to that bus station. Maybe we could meet there, or you could direct me from there to the park. Not sure if I'll take a bus or a taxi. Would Monday work for you? My kids [also have a 5 year old] are in a summer program 3 days a week, but Monday is a free day. We could meet in the a.m. sometime, if that is convenient. Let me know. Look forward to meeting you.

Looking forward

Hi, I'm Belle. Am looking forward to meeting you and the kids.

I can meet you at the Cold Storage in Jelita at Holland Road. The corner immediately after that is the Holland Grove Road where you will see at the corner the Henry Park School. If you walk further north, in your right you will find a small play area.

Monday is okay with me but am not sure if the play area will not be too hot for the kids. We can decide when we meet at Cold Storage. Let me know the time and we will meet you.

Hi Belle, the heat will probably be an issue, especially if its an open park. We have a park in our complex, if you'd like to come here. It's small but has a shaded area for us to sit. We also have a swimming pool, which they can go to after the park. I'm only a 3-4 minute drive from Jelita cold storage, and I can direct you by bus or taxi.

Hi Belle,

If I'm not mistaken, I should be able to PM you after this message.
I'll try.

Hi Belle,

Did my PM go through alright? I sent the details to my place along with my mobile number. Let me know if you didn't get it.

Would noon be okay for you guys? I was thinking we could have a light lunch first, just sandwiches/salad, then head to the park and pool a bit later. I still need to give you my block number.

What is your son's name? Spencer is very much looking forward to meeting him.

Heidi
