I've found most electronic products in Singapore to cost 2 times US costs. Here are a few items I checked prices on ...

1) Plasma and LCD TVs

2) B&O phones

3) iPod headsets

4) Oregon Scientific clocks

I'll suggest an alternative: Shure's isolating earbud phones. Arguably better sound quality at under half the price and, because they're tiny, they're much easier to carry on planes and such. E2c goes for ~$180 at Hung Bros on Sim Lim (#03-83):

Triple disclaimer: I'm only a satisfied customer; it takes a bit of practice to learn to insert them and your ear tires out if you wear them for a long time; and the case is so darn small I've lost mine twice already

The shure earphones are a totally different product. I already have the Shure ones and get irritated with having them stuck in my ears after a while, so looking to get the quiet comfort 3's.
Theyre usd349 on the bose site for US, as they are a US company. They cost more than S$699 anywhere else, e.g. UK

Yup, c. S$850 from the Bose UK site... S$699 sounds ok to me unless youre taking a trip to US.
