Journey to the MRT

Post by leroimarcus » Fri, 06 Jul 2007 12:33 am

Hi everyone,

I have found some good places to live 10 or 15 minutes away from the nearest MRT station (by foot).
Some of my friends who live in Singapore told me that, after 15 min walking under the heat, i would probably need to take a shower  (they have a car).
Honestly, i didn't think at all, about that point. I can't buy a car and i'm not sure they have a shower at my office :)
Is that exaggerated ? How people do ? ... is deo expensive in Singapore ;) ?

Thanks

I walk all the time, to the MRT takes me 20 minutes at a slow pace, so that i don't sweat! 15 minutes at a fast pace will make me sweat, however it all depends on the humidity too, wear a cotton undershirt, to absorb the perspiration deo is not so bad 1.50$ if youve got BO you have a problem  Along with many others around here  eat plenty of garlic and no one will know the difference 8-)

Yeah, 15 min on foot (that's what, 1 km? more?) is a bit of a sweaty hike in Sing, esp. under the daytime sun if you're in office clothing and lugging a laptop and whatnot. But this is why bus stops are so densely spaced in Singapore, so you can probably take a bus to the MRT instead.
