Home Schooling while on waiting list

Post by madisonb » Wed, 04 Jul 2007 8:50 am

We had to move to Singapore on short notice for business and thought our son was only 1 or 2 on waiting list but now told is 5 and will not be offered place next term.

Has anyone home schooled here while waiting for place to be offered? Where do you obtain info re curriculum etc.? Any other suggestions greatly appreciated. We have contacted his previous school in Sydney to see if we can board him but would prefer he stay with us in Singapore.

Thanks.

If you are interested in meeting some other parents from the homeschool community, please let me know and I will put you on to the key person here. There are about 200 families here who homeschool. I homeschooled my son for about 8 months and he was accepted into a school of our choice.

Hi I had the same situation and I ended up using Ailsa Hill M.ed, B.ed. [email protected] Brain Train Pty Ltd. 91 Tanglin Road #04-01 Tanglin Place.

This is not home schooling but my son met other kids so it was good for social life as well. He missed the term from September to January and he kept up with his studies..
Hope this is of help.

Charlie
