Bafana,

It's really nice to hear someone else say that Dr Vashanti is very good. I have her down as my soon-to-be-born (!) daughter's paediatrician and I wasn't 100% sure about her.

Lela01,

If it's just a check up - do you really need a paediatrician? That's my only thought - we went to our local family health centre and the GP (Doctor) there looks after all of us, including our 4 year old son. I was worried about the differences in immunisations required here and back home in the UK. She reviewed my son's medical record and has administered Hep A/B jabs. Also, our medical insurance covers the costs for the Doctor, but I don't think specialist costs are covered.

Kind regards
A

Dr Vashanti has a big heart and really knows what she is doing.

Don't worry everything should be fine and congrats on your incoming.

Thanks!

She's due next week! Can't wait :) :)

The care is very different here in Singapore but I think I have it worked out now. :)
