princessli are you the one that firts wanted 3 areas done by dr nara? And you went to swan? What is a price indication?

i am flying in to Bangkom july 13th. so i am still in the proces of figuring out what to do. The laser lipo sounds so much better. Though money is an item...

I dont agree with aadvark about his opinion about why should a clinic have a website.. I ask wanna why not?

Actually Dr. Nara SHOULD HAVE a website.. i dont know what others think, but I would definitely like to dig info about a doctor who gonna perform surgery.. and he is in a business where infact a website not only will help in his business but it will let others know about his expertise, experience and satisfied patients..

Well i should tell Dr. Nara that if you will fix my nose quite well.. i will make/fix ur website for free [;)] he he he he (o'yeah!! i am quite bad in marketing my skills)...

I sent him a query regarding cost of surgery and got a prompt reply about Rhino, Chin Augmentation & face lift:

for nose 8,000 baht
chin aug 8,000 baht
face lift 30,000 baht

I wanna go in either last week of feb or first week of march.. anyone wanna join?

One more thing I need to know whether Dr. Preecha is better than Dr. Nara for enhancing Nose Tip? Anyone who has been to Dr. Preecha?

Hi Inferno, i intend to go find Dr Nara , most likely is on four week of Feb or March. But i have yet to contact Dr Nara. So What abt you ? Have u fix a appt with Him? i hear that Dr Nara do the surgery while you will awake but i hope the anestheic is strong enough to numb the whole process.

Most ps surgeon have website including those in BKK which is why I am a bit shock dr nara do not have one. No offends to dr nara. the website allows people like us to do research, learn more abt the surgeon, procedures, fees, establishment, experience, before and after photos, services they offer to name a few. it is also for the ps to post any promotion package, what's new in ps etc. No forgetting medical tourism is hot now. it doesnt cost much to get someone to set up website, the rest is just updating it monthly. it is advertising for them too.

it is quite scary when you heard so much good things about a ps but when you do a search on the internet you cant find him/her and...no website! It is only natually for every human being to think twice and have doubt. It is also naturally for anyone interested to have ps to do many research. I agree the fee is very much cheaper but we also wanna ensure we are in good hands.

I decided to do my vaser/lipo locally. at least i know i will be taken care after the surgery. Post op is very important. if anything do go wrong (touch wood) at least i know the surgeon is within reach. I also dont wanna be a laughting stock by my friends and colleagues if my ps doesnt go well but mostly importantly I must feel save and not in doubt. of course there are those lucky ones and some unlucky ones. I dont wanna be the unlucky one.

I've decided to have Vaser which is less invasive and am given 2 ps surgeon to consult and my appt is next week. will keep u all posted. Another reason for doing it locally is also because dr nara only do traditional lipo and it is very invasive and will take longer time to recover and i cannot take too many days off. I did alot of research and came to know that there are more to just having the surgery. The after care is extremely importantly and needed.

PS: dr nara do not provide post op care and garment. I heard the garment cost between S$100-$200.

PPS: for those still interested to hv ps overseas, you can also give FORERUNNERS Healthcare - India a try. Dr Dheeraj Bojwani - MD is very patient and will answer to all your questions. The fees is just as cheap and their fees include hospital stay.

hmmm, i questioned whether a clinic needs a website to be convincing, not whether a clinic needs a website...

of course i would want dr nara to have a website, it'd have saved me so much trouble convincing ppl to accompany me for surgery! :D

just a word of advice to people doing research through websites, i do websites as a freelance job and it is possible to market a company till it seems like the obvious choice, but we must know that every bit of info on that site is placed there by the company.

esp for PS, you don't want to be the first person to try out a clinic just because the website looks wonderful; you'd rather have convincing testimonials from people in the forum rather than the 'testimonials' on the website...

you might wake up during the surgery, but you are still numb to the entire surgery, else i think i would have passed out again from the pain, lol :D

Dr Nara doesn't do nose tip, his 8000 baht is just for the implant. he usually extends the implant at the tip to refine your tip a bit, but how much he can do that depends on your skin also...

With regards to the liposuction, he doesn't provide post-op garments... actually it's more that Dr Nara doesn't believe in post-op garments... that's what he told my friend anyway when she went for lipo...

i cannot say much abt the lipo process because he told me my tummy not enuff fats to lipo, but i regret not forcing him to go ahead with it... might consider going again in mar just to lipo my tummy... maybe after that I can give you all a clearer view of what process he's using, whether it's really traditional lipo or tumescent lipo (which by now seems traditional - started in 1985).

until then, i can only give info on other surgeries I've done with Nara, namely, eyelids, rhino, alar, chin, dimples... so lipo questions, pardon me if i dun have relevant info

yeah, same as my previous post, my whole point is not about having a website, but can you truly be convinced you'll be in good hands just from what you read on a website?

i'm not trying to be a jackass, but just want you all not to fall prey to spruced-up websites... just a friendly reminder, make sure you speak to actual people who have done surgery at a clinic, dun just believe the testimonials from the company site...

not saying that you all should go to nara because of any testimonials here, just make sure you all have living testimonials for other surgeons too, cos that's what i'm trying to do while finding a surgeon for my jaw implants...

may consider lipo at Dr Nara, will have to ask him for the cost... if you are on a shoestring budget, dr nara is the guy for you, he's got lots of experience (used to be in hospital, now has own clinic; published many PS papers). What he's done for my and my frens (and their mums, hehe) so far quite natural :)

a quick pricelist check for dr nara:
======================
Eyelids (cutting & stitching) - 6000 baht (edited)
Nose implant - 8000 baht
chin implant - 8000 baht (edited)
alarplasty - 2000 baht
eyebag removal - 6000 baht
lipo (per area) - 10000 baht (edited)
breast augmentation - 43000 baht (edited)
dimples (per) - 2000 baht (edited)

[8000 baht ~ SGD380, 6000 baht ~ SGD280, 2000 baht ~ SGD95]

Hi aadvark

Plse advise what Dr Nara's website address + email + contact nos are. I have seen quite alot of people talking about him.

From your opinion, what is his surgical skills like?

Thanks,

Vanityfair88
check out the first page of this thread, that's where all the info has been consolidated... as per his skills, i would say i am more than satisfied with it... not merely because it's cheap, but it's better than some of the work i've seen from local PS...
