Also, does anyone wanna travel tgt? 20 June - 22 June

Thanks!
Hi, have you found someone to travel with you? I'm thinking of going over for consultation with Dr Nara, perhaps we can go together? You can email me at jaszgt@hotmaildotcom

Hi everyone, I have been lurking around for a very long time, and it's from this forum that made me decide to have chin implant with Dr Chirayut (based at Phuket officially now) so I would want to contribute back as a form of appreciation.

Today is day 6 of my chin implant and buccal fat removal procedure, and I am still very much swelling at my chin. One thing though, I want to ask all of you here, is whether the chin shape I had right immediately after the surgery will be the official shape of my face when it finally de-swells?

On day 1 itself, it was really sharp and pointy and from day 2 onwards till now it's become a strong round oval shape which is clearly not what I want. I understand it is all due to swelling for now, but I would like to know from you guys who are experienced whether the final shape will look just like the immediate shape (post surgery within 1 hour)?

Oh, just to share, I was quoted 10,000 baht for buccal fat removal and 25, 000 baht for chin implant.

Do ask me any questions and I will try my best to reply! :)

Hi Suify,

I just had chin implant with Dr Chi slightly over 2 weeks back! Like you, my chin looked very sharp aft surgery. However I think it's alr abit swollen at that point. For me, the swelling definitely started going down more after the 10 day mark. As for the final result...I am not sure whether I've simply gotten used to my new chin or what, but I felt that my chin looked sharper and longer right after the surgery than how it looks now. Hope that helps :)

PS: I'm not sure but he might charge less if you're doing more procedures because I paid 20k for my chin, 70k for boobs and 5k for pre-op x-rays,blood test etc. I believe he mentioned that prices will be higher after Aug though.

Hi quixoticism

Thanks so much for your reply, I appreciate it so much. I managed to meet up with Dr Chi and he said final results of my chin implant will be just like the immediate shape right after surgery plus 10-20 percent of swell.

I cannot wait for the swell to be totally gone!

At this point in time at day 8, my chin still feels tight occasionally and when I speak people can tell that I might have had work done because I cannot open my mouth wide and pronounce certain words! Haha!

Oh, and for those who are reading this, I did my chin implant via external approach - initially I thought my lower teeth were hurting from this surgery because of not being able to brush my teeth properly (due to buccal fat removal stitches and not being able to open my mouth wide enough) and I got a shock when I realized it was because of my gums! Upon closer examination, my lower gums were almost purplish and bruised and I'm guessing it's due to the implant's position. I also asked Dr Chi and he reassured me that it's just how he placed the implant and anyway the pain does seem to be going off. Imagine my horror because I researched online and have never found any information on anyone experiencing this lower gum hurting and bruised due to chin implant! :?

Furthermore, my buccal fat removal is not healing simultaneously since my right cheek is feeling sore whereas my left cheek is almost healed. My husband commented that I look slimmer now (I have always been slim it's just that that 'hiding chestnuts inside my cheeks' look is hereditary) and more importantly, my face looks proportionate. :D

I had lateral canthoplasty and blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty with Dr Prinya. Just like most of the forum users described, he really is very patient in explaining the surgical procedures. I wanted epicanthoplasty too but he said the rhinoplasty bridge will enlarge the eyes so there's no need for that. Today is post-op day 3 and my face is really swollen but there's no bruising. Oh maybe you should bring some anti-vomiting medicine there because the antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds they gave were too strong for me so I kept throwing up. I've just reached Singapore and the nausea seems to be getting better now. Stitches are due to be removed on post-op day 7. Remember to get a letter from the clinic if you're removing stitches in Singapore :) Shopping's really great I'd say, like the stuff in their Watson's and 7-11 are really a lot cheaper than in Singapore so you can stock up on your makeup of skin care products there. There's a departmental store near centara hotel which is great for browsing around too! Also the sampan market will operate from Friday to Sunday and it was really great to visit! They have many handmade crafts and jewelry. There's also the tranny show if you want to watch haha

Hi Carapie,
may I know how is your nose so far? Is it still swollen? All's good? Going to Dr Prinya next mth for nose job too. Hope to hear more advices. Thank you!
My nose is great so far! There weren't any issues with infection at incision sites or anything and the bridge is definitely higher after the implant. Swelling was down by the first week because I had lots of pineapples and also spent much time applying a cold compress to the area. I hope your new nose turns out like how you want it!

Hi all,

My previous post got deleted for some reason but luckily I saved a copy. This is very important as I notice more people are gg to Dr Chi (including a couple of friends of friends).

This is my negative experience with Dr Chi at his new clinic in Phuket - Phi Beauty Clinic.

It's long-winded but very important for those planning to go to him so please bear with me.

I had a chin aug (custom-carved button shaped implant which was secured onto my chin bone with titanium screws) via intra-oral incision. It later got infected due to his negligence - I will get to that later. I also had BA done. FYI I paid the same prices as he quotes for his Hatyai clinic - 70k for BA, 20k for chin.

First off, chin implant.
PAIN - I can't stress enough how painful the chin implant was and I don't understand why most people don't mention this. Perhaps it's partly due to the fact that I did an intra-oral incision, but the chin itself really hurt like hell for the first few days and I had difficulty talking etc. The pain was actually comparable to the jawline reduction (i.e. bone cutting) surgery that I did last year, just that the swelling is not as dramatic as the latter. Your chin will be aching for days and yes you can go back to work within a week or a few days but due to lip numbness etc, people will know you did something because your lips will be moving weirdly and the simple action of chewing or even drinking water will hurt as the chin muscles are being utilised. It's impossible to chew at a normal pace and the best part is that you won't know whether food/saliva is dripping out of your mouth till it's too late because your lips and chin will be numb. Glamourous indeed.

BTW your smile might change too, something that I never read about ever, until I started googling for this specific thing after I experienced it myself. On hindsight I think this could actually have been Dr Chi's fault as I rmb waking up halfway through the surgery, screaming my head off in pain and idk if it was the meds but he looked quite annoyed so perhaps he finished suturing up the incision badly, because my lip didn't have any issues on the right side, only the left.

During the follow-up about a week later, I told him that my left side was really painful and felt like it had an ulcer but he insisted that everything looked normal. Ok. I believed him cause my stitches for my jaw surgery also had ulcers and ended up with no issue.

Fast forward 3 weeks post-op and that side still hurts like hell. Worse still, the pain was spreading to my lip and there was uneven swelling so I had a wonky chin. Emailed Dr Chi (without intraoral pics) telling him everything about the pain etc and again, he said it's normal but told me to see a doc if I was worried. He sounded impatient and condescending as this was my 3rd complaint email. I then asked him what antibiotic I was given and it took him over 3 days to get back to me. And I know they normally reply emails every day.

Of course I didn't wait 3 days though. When he didn't reply within 24 hours, I went straight to my family doc and he took one glance and said the infection is very obvious. I described the antibiotic's appearance to him (red and yellow capsule) which he said was Amoxicillin, an antibiotic which docs have been instructed to NEVER prescribe alone because many bacteria alr have resistance to that.

Anyway, when Dr Chi finally replied, he said he gave me Ciprofloxacin 500mg, which I discovered, upon googling, is NOT supposed to be taken with dairy products because the absorption will be reduced by up to 36%. Also it's all in white tablet form and not red and yellow capsules. I had specifically asked him whether there was any foods I shld avoid and he said no.... And because of that, I actually consumed milk every time before taking the meds cuz he said I must take after food but my mouth hurt so much I had little appetite for anything.

So, either
a) He was negligent and failed to inform me that I'm not supposed to take dairy, or
b) He LIED and actually gave me Amoxicillin.

Either way I feel that it was very irresponsible of him, firstly to give me such lousy antibiotics/instructions and secondly to take so long to reply even aft I told him my GP said there's an infection.

Yes it was stupid and naive of me to not ask him what antibiotics were given to me right after the op but still, I feel that this is largely his fault and he failed to take responsibility.

So now, if my infection doesn't clear, I'll have to pay S$400-500 to have the pus drained locally.

Thank God I went to see a local doc instead of listening to Dr Chi saying it's normal. I am lucky that it's not very obvious from the outside, it's mainly slight external and internal swelling and much pain (which has since improved after my local doc's antibiotics).

It was cheap but I ended up paying even more. Will never go back to him again, even though he seemed very patient and nice during the initial consult and follow up. Overall I think he has a good eye for aesthetics. But sorry hor, nice doesn't make up for negligence ok?

Anyway. I had ok surgeries with Charan but was not 100% satisfied either - his technique is there but I am not satisfied with the way my jawbone looks very obviously cut. My nostrils were not symmetrical aft alarplasty. And my eyelids became uneven. So probably won't go back to Thailand again, maybe Korea next time if I do my eyes.

That's it for now. Really hope this helped some of you, do be wise in making your choices x

It’s still safe to fly over there as I have heard from my Thai’s friends. The army took control the country and set up the new government but people’s living their lives normally. Business and tourism sectors are running as usual and the political situation doesn’t interfere with them much. Plus, the air ticket price is very cheap. So I’m planning myself to have a Rhinoplasty done with Dr. Pichet of Bangkok Plastic Surgery Clinic later this year. I did double eyelid surgery with him before two years ago, still appreciate his work and skills. I’m now researching on the process and considering the cost. Has anyone here has double eyelid done with Dr. Pichet and want to share your review? I would be thankful for the help.

Guys, u can read my blog at doubletiu.blogspot.com abt my complaints on Dr Chi. I have switched to SM plastic surgery in Korea. Trust me, if u guys have the $, save it up for better quality docs in Korea than doing a half-baked job in Thailand. The revision cost is much more costly.

Hi guys, I have recently been back from Bangkok and the situation is all good. Still a shopping n food paradise :)

Anyway, I would like to share with you guys about this new laser technique for double eyelid. It is called the celebrity eyes. They use laser to make a small incision of 0.5mm and it leaves no scar at all. No downtime and no need to remove stitches. For those who have low tolerance of pain, this method is definitely suitable as compared to the traditional cutting method.

you may want to visit their website or instagram for more before and after pictures. The clinic is very near to the famous MBK mall. Do look for doctor Sae, a very friendly doctor who will do a consultant review with you and make sure everything is painless n good for you during the operations. For any enquiries, you may LINE message them too. :) More details of the clinic as follows:
