Hi guys I am back from Hatyai. Had eyebag removal, rhino+alar and thigh lipo with Dr Chi. Bought compression garment from Dr Chi for 7000 baht and Sinecch from Rachel (96371571). Rachel supplies Sinecch to surgeons and she’s pretty knowledgeable in the field of PS. She claims that she has once been invited to witness a rhinoplasty procedure so you can ask her about PS.
Day 1
Hatyai (HDY) time is 1h earlier than Singapore time. Arrived at HDY at 1.05pm local time. Most forumers said they took a cab to their hotel but i couldn’t find any except for airport limousine service, which costs 80 baht. It’s actually a mini van/bus which stops everyone at their respective hotels.
Arrived at Wangnoi hotel after a 20-30min ride. 850 baht per night, with a refundable 300 baht deposit. Exterior of hotel looks ok, but not as nice as Diamond Plaza Hotel or Novotel or Lee Gardens. But it’ll pass.

It’s pretty small actually. The staff do not know much English but if you speak slowly they’ll understand eventually. They are very friendly.
Entered my room which is surprisingly very clean. The toilet is very modern. Soap, shampoo, hair conditioner and shower caps are provided. No toothbrush or toothpaste. Extra pillow is available in the closet, with laundry bags in there as well. Bottled mineral water is F.O.C. Apart from that, the rest of the snacks and flavored drinks are chargeable. There is a Sony TV which is huge; lots of channels (75 in total) incl. CNA, sports, Taiwan/HK dramas, Channel V, and of course local Thai channels. Room is well lit and air-conditioned. There is wifi too.
Went to Dr Chi’s at 2.30pm (was late by 30 min but he was very accomodating and said it was no issue). Do note that his clinic is Phi-Beauty Clinic a.k.a HHTC. It’s easier to spot the clinic if you recognise it by HHTC. The clinic is very clean, has 3 storeys and there was a particular nurse who was very friendly (she walked me back after the op and came to my room the next day to check on me). Dr Chi listened to me patiently during the consultation and assured me even when i had second thoughts on rhino as he said he would have to do it through the inside-mouth method (less scarring).
Op ended at around 5.30-6pm. (i did eyebag removal and rhino+alar). Throughout the surgery, i felt NO pain at all despite doing it under LA. The initial injection and what came after could not even be compared to an ant bite. I don’t think pain threshold or whatever is the problem. There was really no pain at all.
Day 2
Back at hotel and up to 24 hours later - face very swollen, so worried that something might have gone wrong. Can’t wait to see Dr Chi to see if everything is ok with my face. Can’t even smile with teeth showing. Oh and if you want to buy food but don’t know where to go (as Wangnoi isn’t close to any malls or departmental shops; not that i know of and i honestly didnt bother to explore around), you can tell the staff you what you want to eat and they will buy it for you. They even advised me not to have chicken, etc. as they knew i just had surgery. Very thoughtful!
Day 3
My thigh lipo was supposed to be yesterday at 6.30pm but Dr Chi postponed it to today morning at 9.30am. Somehow my surgeries are always delayed by 1 hour and i always had to stone in the clinic for one hour. There is wifi in the clinic though.
Consulted Dr Chi about my swollen face. He said it is normal and mine is very much less swollen compared to his other patients. WHEW! And he said it takes max. 72 hours for the swelling on my face to go down but it takes 1-2 months for me to smile normally after my rhinoplasty op.
About aftercare on thigh lipo: rest calf area on elevated level. wear compression garment 24/7 for 6 weeks (sian, so long. other forumers said 3 weeks only..) and after the 6 weeks, continue wearing it during the day for another 6 months. if can wear at night, also can, but daytime is sufficient. i guess i have to bear with wearing jeans/long pants/maxi skirts? someone advise me here pls? can i shorten the time??
Then we proceeded to the thigh lipo op. All i can remember from the surgery is that the injection on my thigh was very pain (i’d give it an 8/10 and i remembered i was saying AHHH) but after 4 seconds i KO-ed. I dont remember a thing when the op was over. All that happened afterwards was the nurses put on the compression garment for me and that they gladly showed me the amount of fat removed from my thighs. The op started at 11am and ended at about 1-1.30pm.
Again, the nurse escorted me back to my hotel. I immediately KO-ed on my bed and woke up at 5.30pm. IMO, sadly, i think not much fat was removed but i dont know if it’s me having high expectations and it’s normal since it’s only immediately after surgery so it might just be swelling. Hopefully i can see the results asap! Btw I find it hard to walk. When i walk, i have to squat a little. It’s also hard to pee despite the hole at the crotch area of my compression garment.
Day 4
My nose and eyes are very nice now but the swelling on my cheeks is killing me!!! It’s not pain but it’s very ugly. Haha. Surprisingly NO bruises at my eyebag area cause he did the inside method so no scars at all.
Still very sleepy since the lipo op.
It is now easier to walk. Went out to buy food. Didnt know where to buy so i went to 7-11. It’s about 200m away. Btw Golden Crown Hotel is like one street away from Wangnoi Hotel so you guys can consider staying there too (but i tried to make reservations through a phone call and they didnt understand English and they even hung up on me! Twice!). Not much of a diff, but Wangnoi is just closer (or closest, i should say) to Dr Chi’s clinic.
It’s Day 5 today. Everyday is pretty much the same from now... Just rest and recuperate
BTW can anyone tell me if i really have to wear the compression garment for another 6 weeks? Can it be shorter?
