It is swelling. you will look like you have a tumor in your face for a while but the result will "come down"wannabeplasticteen wrote:Dr. Chi chose size L for me!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. *freaking out*
I didn't know better. I really feel like... some other person, I don't feel like myself.
People with successful chin augmentation, did you experience this? Or was it okay the moment you looked into the mirror post op?
Thanks for your input slpd123.

Aside from my freak out that my chin was going to be like Jay Leno or a tranny, my experience with Dr. Chi was rather good. I actually liked him more than dear Dr. Nara.
I liked his clinic. It's like the equivalent of aesthetic clinics in SG. Fancy stuff. He was very patient and went through all the different sorts of implants and how each was different. Apparently the implant with wings is if you want to achieve an oval shaped face and the button implant will be if you want more projection in your chin.
I didn't really print any pictures beforehand, so I just brought along an Triumph advertisement and pointed out what I liked. Hahaha. Usually one would bring an underwear advertisement to a doctor for something like BA, but instead I brought it to showcase the model's chins.
Dr. Chi's cool. Booking an appointment with him is significantly less troublesome than booking one with Dr. Nara too. I just called up his clinic one day before the sugery.
Right now the profile of my chin is looking really great. Another good thing is that it slims down my face... A LOT. The sad part is the frontal view. It kinda looks like Heidi Montag's chin. A little too wide and a lot of space between the lower lip and chin.
By the way, I went for the better chin implant by implantech. It costs almost twice as much (18000 THB) than the cheaper alternative. I didn't go for the cheaper one because they looked very substandard and not very well made.
I'll update in 2 weeks. I hope the swelling goes down quick. I really can't recognise myself.
Did you choose the "L" size or did Dr. Chi? If Dr. Chi chose it, then he knows what he is doing.wannabeplasticteen wrote:I got the wings type. Oh my god. I dont look like myself. I dont dare to look in the mirror. That person in the mirror. Is. Not. Me.
I think I want to get it removed tomorrow. Really, the implant is way too big. I can't take it.
ok my own experience, cos i did it twice...wannabeplasticteen wrote:I guess I will wait a week and see what happens? I think that will be the wiser choice rather than rushing into a removal just post-op 2 days. Might sound silly to say remove an implant post-op 2 days, but sometimes you can just feel that something is really wrong.
