Actually I'm having this problem with my eyes...

Big & small uneven eyes.. meaning double eyelid on the left and single on the right.. It depend.. sometimes both double.. sometimes one side single.. :( then i have to apply eyeliner and put transparent glue on my right eyes to make it even.. very troublesome! Lol

So...I'm still planning whether to go to Dr. Nara Clinic to do double eyelid surgery or not cos I'm a little scared haha....

Anyway, There's some question I would like to ask everyone :)

1) Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery) - Cutting & Stitching Method

Can remove fat to give a eye-lift?

2) What is the different between Blepharoplasty & Epi Method?

Can anybody post before & after pictures that have done by Dr. Nara

3) Will u be sleeping throughout the operation?

Best Regards!! Thank u!
blepharoplasty is basically dbl eyelid surgery
epi is cutting the epicanthal fold, known as 开眼头 in chinese, do a wiki for more in depth info

bleph can remove fats. for me, i already had dbl eyelids, so nara redid mine, and removed the fats, so i look more alert. very happy with the results :)

you will be operated under LA, and twilight sedation, means u will feel no pain, and in a very hazy sleep

here's my pic b4 and after, also posted my fren's nose pix in a previous post

Is silicon considered durable/safe for a chin implant?

In years to come will it shift or have any risks?

I read this article and getting a tad worried - http://www.shimmianmanila.com/side-effe ... ne-implant

Blepharoplasty

Post by raiderbomb » Thu, 15 Jul 2010 2:30 am

Hi, may i ask how long does it takes for your swelling to go down for your blepharoplasty? as in, how long are u able to really walk in public without shades? ive been wanting to do it but my problem is, i have double eyelids or rather triple because i have lines there to make it look as if it's double eyelid but have excess fats on my upper eyelids and it makes me look like i have downward sloping eyes. :(
i just want to remove the excess fats, is blepharoplasty for me? i don't really need the double eyelid. i don't mind having it but will the lines take more than 10 days to heal? cos i'm schooling and i don't want to miss school for so long and i don't want it to look so obviously swollen in case my mom noticed. haha. i managed to siam away with my nose job so i hope blepharoplasty will be smooth for me too.
thanks!

alright sorry for the rant.... anyway if you get a nose implant are you able to race at extremely high speeds (150kmph) or sit on a roller coaster or something like that.. or will it affect your implant?

a normal nose can fracture. if u hit your nose at 150 kmph and even if its natural you will suffer nasal bone fractures. and lateral cartilage deformities.

so even, if you have a silicone implant, it isn't going to worsen things by that much.

silicone pros
- easier removal ( thouigh not perfect, and removal can cause severe complications )
- does not grow into tissue hence less trauma if removal indicated.
- less down time and faster recovery of 3 months.
- option of intra-oral or extra-oral incision
- biocompatibile, and little infection risk, etc.

cons
- protensity to shift over time
- visibility
- non-natural nature sometimes depending on subperiosteal/supraperiosteal placement
- in cases of subperiosteal placement esp, silicone implant can erode the bone and cause your profoile to weaker over time.

all patient shd be educated about risks before every surgery
