To shan1984 and those who had rhino done recently.

I was at the doc for an appt earlier on and while waiting picked up a magazine.
There is an article about PS.
The docs who gave answers are all Singapore docs including Martin Wong.
I just did a quick typing in into my hp, hope this will assure you people here with bruising, swelling, soreness post op.

For rhinoplasty.
Swelling will peak at 2 days, soreness up to 8 weeks.
Results shows in 3 - 6 mths.

So patience ya? :D
btw: the magaize is SHAPE - Sept 05 :)

Angel,

Wah!!! I see the sums I want faint.
I don't have such money so can't plan for such itinerary! :P

But if you decide to go Dr Nara 1st, is Dr Arthur willing to do revisions for you? I mean you cant be telling him you never do before mah ya?
And if you have break of 1 year in btw, you'll need to have very good self control if not it'll be back to square 1 even before the revision

Arthur will probably ask me to lose weight till M size i think. If u see his pics, the lipo virgins so to speak, are those medium size then can get good results.

There's another group who had lipo at nara or SG vaser or done elsewhere, results also look good because the bulk is already removed previously. So all of u have no problem, next time (touch wood), if u want to do revision at arthur, your results will also be nice.

however, they already said my size have to do 2 rounds, so in order to help me save $, they advised me to lose weight first, yes, i'll try my best to do it but as my arms & lower tummy are very huge, i've no confidence that they can remove all at one time.

So must plan first mah, don't want to make the wrong move. i think until my white hair comes out already, sigh, to ask me to lose 10kg to be M size also seems very daunting to me. To lose 5 kg in 6 months time maybe achievable but 10kg is very tough.

then if i don't go nara first, next time go arthur again for revision, worse, more ex.

i dont get it why everyone going to dr arthur, is it because he has a finer liposuction technique ( i.e. liposculpture ) which nara doesn't.?

cos' dr arthur is really just an ordinary GP who went for a few short courses in these procedures. he is not a plastic surgeon.

and since he always seems to like to attack full-fledge plsatic surgeons, i think he is not quite ethical, yea?

and the withdrawing so much of fats in one session.. so horrible. like he keep experimenting to increase the benchmark. what if you so unlucky and die?

and since he not a plastic surgeon, u can end up with neuropathies, necrosis, hematomas, etc. since he is totally not familiar with human anatomy like a plastic surgeon

I am back for my bi-yearly check up on our jaw implants

How are they? Symmetrical? Giving any problems?

Shan,

Never do nose before, cant advise you on the make up part..

But as for your nose being shiny.
If i'm not wrong, it's due to the skin being stretched to accomodate your new nose.
When the elasticity settle down, it should get better.
Anyone, please correct me if i'm wrong. :)

I asked Dr Nara why he don't do tip.
He clenched his fist and pointed to his knuckles, if do tip, it'll be like this.
Like an extrusion, not natural so he don't do it.

and the worst thing is that, it seems like there is nothing done to my nose and even my parents and siblings said so. it looks jus like my old nose, swollen.
sigh.. getting pretty depressed and anxious...

but i did saw my nose right aft the surgery and i find that it looks good. at least better then my old nose.
is it that aft all the bruising n swelling are gone, it will look exactly like wat i saw in the mirror right aft the surgery??

yes, it shld look like ur nose that was immediately after the op, but slightly smaller, cos by time u saw shld have started to swell already.

Isn;t it amazing how some family members like to ridicule more than support? Mine would too, hence I din let them know and stayed in Hatyai for almost a week b4 returning home. Diff families have diff culture, mine likes to criticise more than compliment :P

Hi missy-me and aadvark, I have the same problem with missy-me too.. :( I did mine with Dr Puttisak on 1st dec. I like how it look when i first saw after out from the op, high brigde. But now it seem like just a bit of height. And look different for the nose i saw when i came out from op. Today is the 4rd days of op. Is it because of the swell from my eyes and make it seem like no brigde? So aadvark, will it look the same when i came out from the op just slighty smaller? Oh, when can i start shifting the implant? Cause it seem abit more to my left or maybe because it is swollen? And will the implant move downward? Will greatly appreciate..

ebony!! i feel the same way as u too!
and maybe im too paranoid, but i think my implant did shift a little to the right.. =(
i just hope all the swell will go down asap..

Missy-me did u try to shift the implant? I tried to push it and it swollen at the area where i push it. :( Luckily the swelling goes away. Now only my tip still swollen.

Aadvark may i ask you can i actually try to shift it on the 1st week after the op? Cause i read that i cant shift after 1month is it? My nose still tip still look round is it because of the swelling? After the swelling subside will it look like the nose i came out from op? Thanks in advance.

hello ebony.
nope, i did not shift the implant cuz i was pretty scared that it will become crooked. haha. but i did try to massage the nose bridge on the sides gently. now the swell at my nose and around it more or less subside already. but i kept touching my new nose bridge cuz i had no nose bridge before surgery. very shiok and happy with the results. hope it don't go down too much as i am happy with the height of my new nose now. now the tip of my nose is only a bit swollen, that's all. wish both of us a speedy recovery.

Hi Missy-me, hope this will help. I email Dr Puttisak and this what he told me.
*Quote* I do not quite sure that it is from the swelling or from the prosthesis is deviate to the left side. If it is obvious, you can use your left thumb push it to the midline. You can do the pushing method if you feel no too much pain as much as you can. But if you feel pain please gentle apply the pressure.
Regards,
Puttisak

thanks ebony!
i asked my parents and siblings but they said that my nose is straight, not crooked. so i don't really dare to shift it. anyway, how is your nose now? has the swelling gone down? still have bruises?

Bruises gone down. Only my left abit of swelling not very obvious, cause due to me shifting the implant maybe.. Only left the tip of my nose swell and hard. How about yours?

my nose not swollen anymore, except for the tip a teeny bit. but when i touch the bridge and tip, it's painful. is this normal?

I think shld be normal ba.. My brigde not really hurt anymore just the tip. And feel hard.. Have your stitches disolve by itself? Do you mind we exchange pic? Want to see how ur nose look like?

sure, no problem.
u can pm me ur email address? cuz i cant seem to pm anyone.
