Hi Princess,

I came back 2 weeks ago from Hatyai.
Went past Sakol Hotel a few times while exploring around.
Actually very near Lee Gardens Plaza and Dr Nara too.
Looks much more decent than Indra Hotel.
Perhaps you could email them for the rates?
Think most hotels would be able to give you a better rate if you're staying for so many days.

Below is a map i found online.
Hope this helps. :)

Hi littlegreenyoda,

I think Novotel rates are quoted in USD dollars.

Lee Garden Plaza

Novotel

there's no need to book online. Just buy a hotel voucher from any travel agency such as Konsortium when you reach hatyai. It's much cheaper.

Thank sasa

Btw, is calling them directly better? The website is like a agent. I don't want to let agent earn. Next time on holiday I don't mind let agent earn abit.

But not for this time.

But is it possible to get the hotel near dr nara. The surgery I'm going for, for the first week, I will feel pain while walking.

the nearest hotel to Dr. Nara is Indra Hotel but it's really a motel rather than a hotel. Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel is quite near too, about 5 mins walking distance. If you prefer a better hotel, Novotel is quite good, it's just across the road from Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel.

I frankly think Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel does not really provide good service but the good thing about it is the free highspeed internet service at the lobby/rooms. Novotel's internet is really expensive at 200 baht per hour.

You will not feel any pain after the surgery because the LA will not wear off that fast, though abit groggy. I walked myself back to the hotel alone all by myself as I went to hatyai by myself.

konsortium is actually the agency where i took the coach service from singapore to hatyai. But do not book the hotel from singapore. Buy the hotel voucher in hatyai it's in baht & much cheaper.

Konsortium is situated just across a small road opposite the Lee Gardens Plaza shopping centre (not the hotel which is just situated next to the shopping mall)

i have never took tiger airways to hatyai before but i think you probably have to take a cab down from the airport to downtown hatyai.

Hmm, mine will be GA and a four day hospital stay.

I heard from one who that did the operation, for the first week or so, tend to feel giddy and pain.

What I meant was that, if I get the hotel voucher, will I be able to get a hotel near dr nara?
