furly angel:)
I read about your terrifying experience about the anesthetic wearing off even before the surgery ended really scare the shit out of me. How many have had the same kind of experience ah? Please stand up and be counted. I am now having second thoughts about having my surgery done at tokai:( I am the kind who has very low threshold for pain.
my consultation in on 7th January 2009 and surgery scheduled for the following day.

Just tell the doctor before hand that you want to be numb-ed all the way, tell him that you're afraid of waking up to needles and pins poking you.
Btw, i hate this shit - people coming in just to ask some questions without bothering to at least read through the damn thread. It's perfectly ok to do so, but after they get everything done, high chance that they'll just go on with their life and don't bother contributing to the thread. It's such a terrible culture.
Sigh, just imagine if people like aadvark, feline eyes or any of the other long time posters didn't bother to help out after they had everything done, would this forum still be alive? Forgive the ranting, it's something that's been on my mind for some time

i think that surgeries which use sedation all may face this problem, but if u go under GA, it will require much more preparation, plus an extra certified anesthetist which will increase the cost by a lot.Breeoei wrote:furly angel:)

furly angel meant the sedation wore off, not the anesthetic. if the anesthetic wore off, she should be screaming in pain and wouldn't have been able to endure all the way thru the surgery

Exciting news people! Esp for those who want to get tipoplasty done and want alternatives other than tokai and yoskarn.
My friend is researching places to get eyelids, alar and tip done. So narrowed down to yanhee. And it seems there are 2 docs who do tipoplasty at Yanhee, according to Yanhee itself. One is Dr Somsak and the other is Dr Pitch.
Will update with the price for tipoplasty when I hear from my friend

sorry if i've made it seemed like i was simply looking for a quick fixcersepn wrote:Just tell the doctor before hand that you want to be numb-ed all the way, tell him that you're afraid of waking up to needles and pins poking you.

i've read through the forum for days. found out there are different views and opinions, couldn't really pin point on what's best for my desire.
for eg, dr nara seems to get majority of e rave reviews. however, i've seen some feedbacks on that he base his works on e foundation of looking natural. i've seen some of his works, some of them seem too natural that i could only see minimal improvements at best.
i'm looking for an obvious change to my whole profile. my nose is not too bad to begin with, but i'd like to have a rather more prominient nose, an obvious change.
in that sense, i'm not sure whether to approach the highly recommended dr. nara, or not. cos on one hand, his professional ethics is second to none but on e other, his style may not suit what i'm looking for.
so decided to get an opinion from the more experienced personnel here.
my motive was to get some advice in accordance to my desired results.
so sorry if i've offended anyone!
cheers
Sorry if you felt it was targeted at you. Actually it wasn't targetted specifically at you.. and i'm glad you didn't take offence. I was just talking in general, since there have been MANY before you who've did this.
justewayiam: Hit us up with some pics. Censor your face if you're shy. Usually guys are more suited to prominent noses than girls are. If you want an obvious change and your nose already isn't too bad, a simple nose job with implant might not be enough.

Cersepn I hope you were not referring to me ah? Well just expressing my fear.....cersepn wrote:Just tell the doctor before hand that you want to be numb-ed all the way, tell him that you're afraid of waking up to needles and pins poking you.

Justewayiam: No offence, but seems like there's quite alot to be done for the nose. If you want an obvious change, i'm sad to say, thailand drs may not have the skills to make that happen. You might wanna look at the taiwan thread. Regarding dbl eyelids, you might want to check out some before and after pictures to see which style you prefer.
Breeoei: It's not specifically aimed at you lol, just a general comment. I hope you're not considering buccal fat removal. That procedure is so hyped here; aadvark might have had good results, but in an overwhelming majority of cases, it does very little to slim the face - especially if the person is fat to begin with.

oh man, if that's e case, i may settle for a less obvious result.cersepn wrote:Justewayiam: No offence, but seems like there's quite alot to be done for the nose. by the way, some days back i contacted tokai clinic and they gave a prompt reply. i asked if it's possible to achieve a nose as nice as jerry yan's. im immensely surprised at his reply, because jerry's nose and mine are definitely worlds apart, yet e dr candidly said no prob and quoted me 800usd.
any opinions on this dr pat and his ethics?
live once, live beautifully
