Thanks a lot.
i did alarlasty and nose implant, total cost is 10,000 baht which is about S$400. =) i booked about 6 weeks in advance i think, but i was just being kiasu. i booked an appointment then went to book the free and easy at grassland. don't wanna book my coach and hotel then be told that Nara can't see me! also, 3 days before your appointment you need to call them again to re-confirm, otherwise your appointment will be cancelled.

Hi Allthatjazz..

Me too! I really like your nose. Its really nice and elegant. I have been following this thread for a while now and I must say I'm really tempted to go for the procedure as well especially after seeing your photos!! And at $400 a pop, its cheaper than a bag! :P

I would like to seek some advice from you though...
How many days of leave did you have to take before you were able to go back to work? Was the procedure done under merely local anesthesia.. or under General anesthesia? Was the post recovery difficult for you ? Excessive pain, bleeding etc? Anything I should take note and consider before taking the plunge?

sorry for the barrage of questions.. I'm a little nervous about the procedure. especially the post-recovery part.

Any advice will be appreciated...
Once again, great nose you got there! :)
you have to see if nara's procedure of L-implant suitable for you. It's best suited to ppl with no bridge and blunt tip. However, if you have a really bulbous tip, this may not be the best option for you, because bulbous noses need tipoplasty. it's performed under LA with sedation, so you will be unconscious during the op.

diff ppl heal at diff rates, so if u really want to be safe, i suggest 2 weeks b4 u go bk to work, if u heal faster, u can always cancel the leave :D

1) Hope to arrive on 23 morning
2) No plans yet but hv check airfares are expensive during that period. Exploring coach as next alternative (To & fro, probably)
3) If via coach, 22 nite
4) Likely Lee Gdn Plaza as recommended
5) Double eyelids, nose n lipo (probably)

My 1st time too... just as blur :? but gog thru 216pgs... i guess the info provided here is quite comprehensive :)

Has anyone ever ordered their compression garment online from US or overseas? Do you know whether there will be additional custom taxes or gst to pay?

I am thinking of ordering from makemeheal.com, as the person who is selling the Marena compression garment has gone MIA. Wonder whether it would be cheaper to order from website too.

hello everyone,
i'm a new member here, but i've been reading this topic for an extremely long while now.

considering that i have a bulbous nose with wide nostrils and a low bridge, which doctor should i go to? since Dr Nara doesn't do nose tip.

Does Dr Puttisak do nose tip?
And how much does he charge for his works?

Thank you.

hmm contrary to what aadvark said, i wasn't sedated! i was conscious during the whole operation and was looking at them working on my nose in awe - felt like my nose wasn't mine cos I could feel the faint tugging and pulling and pushing, but no pain. haha. dr. nara even told me to close my eyes. i took 7 days leave altogether - mon - fri, then mon and tues. that means i had 8 days altogether after the op to rest before going back to work. i would suggest taking 2 weeks too. the longer the better actually. hehe. there is not much pain involved for the implant, just a bit sore. painkillers will do. but the stitches for the alar hurt whenever you laugh / smile / sneeze / yawn during the first week. your entire nose will feel very stiff. be prepared to look HIDEOUS for at least one week after the nose job. try not to look into the mirror too much cos it gets very depressing.
