nobody can tell u what u need cos we need to see what you have in the first place. think if you post shots of ur face with ur eyes and nose blanked out, will be easier for us to comment :)
aadvark do u know how much yanhee charge for Buccal fat pad removal? Is this procedure similar to face lipo?

If u had done once somewhere else, or even if it was with him, he will not do a 2nd time for u.
Thanks for the advise, seems like can cancel my appointment with Dr. nara. #-o
wondered anybody did lipo with Dr Puttisak and what are his charges and would he be not keen for touch up cases. :-k
My last lipo done in Singapore is not done quite properly with uneven sides on the waist(one side slight bigger than the other) and he only took out very little(maybe only a 20% reduction). :(
will charge me for almost about the full cost for the touch up. so, no more confident and feel too costly to do in Singapore. :x
who knows even if the touch up is only another 20% reduction again. :oops!:
I not very fat only problem areas but quite disappointed with the last lipo.

Ok here goes for day 3 of my post op... Sorry guys just bear with me as I'm too bored in my room so share with you guys...

Now most of the swelling has already gone down except the cheeks area... Like having mumps haha.... As for bruises, some new ones appeared below the eye area and it's purplish initially, now turning to reddish liao after I use my secret weapon, egg, to massage over it... Hopefully it gets better tomorrow...

Pain level is about 4/10 as compared to day one 8/10. But must be careful not to touch the nose tip too hard... Pain man... Otherwise it's getting much better...

Present condition I should be able to go out without anyone staring at me. Went to the supermarket to get some groceries just now wearing sunglasses and no one even looked at me.... But I saw one sales girl who also had ps done as I can see the bruises under her eyes... Thais seems to take it pretty easy regarding ps...

Planning for PS in Jan 2009

Post by bigfaced » Fri, 05 Sep 2008 5:32 am

Hihi...

i'm new to this forum... been very troubled over my round face for a long time...
my face always appears to be round and big when i take photos. in reality, my face doesn't seem tt plumb... my squarish jaws plays a big part... which is why i'm terribly interested to hav a jaw reduction surgery...
i'd like to ask if any of u guys/gals here had this operation b4? how many days of hospitalisation will it take? and the total cost ard how much?
i'm also very interested to hav a scar and freckles laser treatment... any1 had experience with tt? is the effect obvious? or it requires a few treatment?

i'm plannin to go Yanhee in Jan 2009... i'm a gal... anyone would like to join for company? btw... any recommendations of doctor in Yanhee?

Jaw reduction surgery is a pretty major op. Down time if I am not wrong is about 3 weeks. You might want to consider it first as opposed to having jaw reduction using botox. A lot of ppl have tried it and it works on most, especially if you have strong jaw muscles.

If you are going Yanhee, I would recommentd Dr Greechart as he is the head of department for ps.

Hope this helps..

i'd given great thought to it... mine is definately jaw bone instead of the common jaw muscles... tt's e reason y i op for a surgery then to go for botox...
but the website of yanhee only state tt hospitalisation for 2 nites... but y is it so tt it takes 3 weeks? i can only afford to skip lessons and my part time job for a week plus...
or is there any other doc in thailand tt u can recommend who is skilled in such surgery?

Cos it involves the shaving of your jaw bone(ouch), there can be quite a bit of trauma involving your face... The two days hospital stay is to observe whether there is any side effects, one week is definitely not enough. As of now , I'm about to recover but still there is some swelling and bruises... Do you need a chin implant instead? Cos it's impt to the symmetry of your face too...

The person I can think of in Thailand is Dr Charan. He is trained in craniofacial surgery and american ps board certified. The other guy is Dr Somyos. But both their prices don't come cheap, comparable to ps in Taiwan.

Hope this helps

Hi Maverick,

Did you only do an implant for your nose to raise the bridge, or did you do alarplasty as well?

Is the swelling on first 2 days quite bad.. as in like pig's nose or something? haha!

your recovery seems quite fast if by day 3, swelling has gone down.

I only do implant to raise bridge and project the nose tip forward and sharper i.e L shape implant. No alarplasty thou the doc did ask me if I want it. Just want to do this and see how it goes... Still looking not bad...

For my swelling its concentrated at my cheeks area due to chin implant... The nose did not really swell too much... Briusing under the eye area though... Ya God bless... Recovery is quite fast....

Thanks Maverick.
In my case, I consulted with a doc here and he thinks since my bridge is quite "high" already (though I don't think so!), he just needs to stitch the cartilage at the sides of the nose and trip away some cartilage at the tip. He says that can also raise nose height and narrow the nose overall.

I'm not sure, I don't mind going by what he suggested but I thought I'd like a sharper tip as well. He quoted me S$3k for this.

How much did yours cost you? Did you do at Bumrungrad (not sure how to spell this)?

Not sure if to do in Thailand or Singapore... sigh....

If you ask me for opinion... Do it in Thailand.. Doctors here do not have really many patients for them to operate due to high costs etc... Over in Bkk it's like eating or smoking to them... During my wait for surgery, the doctor has already done like 2 surgeries before me and 1 foreigner is having his done after me. I talked to him and he came from Switzerland just to have his cheek implants done... So this says pretty much about the doctor's capability...

I had mine done in PAI( Preecha Aesthestic Institute) and it's cheaper than Singapore too...
