autologous is lower risk, not no risk. Some Thai surgeons use cartilage too. If you need lots of cartilage, you need to harvest from rib, ear might not be enough.

my fren have loan from banks with interest as low as 5.5% PA. These loans are usually for ppl to clr their Credit Cards aka fund transfer and you can get as high as 4 times your monthly salary. If needed it is good to have spare for PS as we never know if there is (touch wood) revision or extra procedure needed suddenly.

note, i dun get anything from intro this loan to u. it is between u and him/her. I personally is getting this loan during my upcoming major PS in taiwan for spare for emergency and pay them back if not needed.

Dr pat offered cartilage grafting to me, but i'm not too sure cause I asked for silicone so as to reduce the cost of the surgery. Cartilage grafting is supposedly more expensive i think. didnt ask him about cost or risks or his number of patients etc.

Anyways, here is the good/bad part.

I would be going bangkok on 14th august and having my surgery with dr pat on the 15th of august, so wish me luck. I would be doing quite afew surgeries - lip lift, lip reduction ( both sides ) and revision alarplasty.

Will be updating everyone on my progress within this forum, again wish me utmost luck.

I would be staying alone, and that is the most fearful. Gosh. If anyone happens to be in bkk on those dates, please do contact me.

Thailand appears to be my 2nd home now, and i wont feel alien there, but this is my first time there alone.

Tokai clinic is very near to my hotel. From my hotel i take a pickup service for 10 mins, then take bus for 30 mins ( bus moves slow! ) then I arrive at On-nut BTS station. From on-nut its a 5 mins walk. =))

Thanks and good luck to those with upcoming beautifications :)

There're also side effects of autologous such as warping. But long-term wise I heard its safer than silicone. Silicone has a 10% complication rate on patients observed for more than 3 years. I think that was international, so doesnt include asians. Supposedly asians nose skin is actually tougher, so it should be safer to use silicone on asian skin without risking extrusions :)

Also there are the various risks and benefits of the various types of cartilage such as ear, costal , rib, etc, and I think you can read that online cos im not too sure.

Good luck Boii18! Too bad I will only be going in Sep so no chance to meet up with you... Bro dont worry lah I have been in bkk alone few times already.. But mostly for work... If you need any tips on where to go just pm me... How long you staying there? For me its a two weeks long stay... Hope it will be enuff for my recovery... Will be doing quite a lot of procedures in one shot...

Here is my itinery.. Reach bkk on the 1st Sep going to klkk and buy essential stuff for recovery for at least a week cos I dont see myself going out of hotel for a week...

Going to yanhee on the 2nd of sep.. Have appt with dr pitch then dr greechart at 10am. If everything goes well and satisfied will do the surgery on the same day... If not will follow my friend to md clinic for consultation... If there is still time will also go down to yoskarn...

Confirm will do surgery on 3rd sep cos dont want to waste any more time... Anyone wants to join me?

dr nara is in hatyai not in bkk, you need to catch another plane from bkk to hatyai (air asia). Catch a cab to the hotel

i have made up my mind to do alar+ rhinoplasty at Nara.

Would love to ask you guys:
1. Will it be ok if i take flight immediately (like afew hrs later) after the alar+ rhino surgery? as i have booked hotel in BKK.

ans: better not, u will feel drowsy, nose still bleeding first day. better to rest one night at least

2. I read somewhere that Alar will have visible stitches and only able to take off in one week, will it be ok for me to take off in SG clinic? any recommendation?

ans: can remove at most GPs

3. Rhino stitches is dissolveable?

ans: yes

4. If i doing lipo for cheeks and under chins at Nara, do i need to buy any garments?

ans: nara dun do for cheek and under-chin, from what i know

really thanks for any helps :)

anyone planning to go on mid Sep 08? hope to get some company :D
thanks so much aadvark! u helped alot!
sorry to ask, may i know how to book Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel and how much per nite? thks

anyone going on mid Sep? really wish to find some khakis :D
i usually book thru sites like http://www.hotelthailand.com. Cheaper than booking directly with the hotel. For directions on how to get to dr nara's from the hotel, refer to page 1 of this thread where i have uploaded a map for you to walk from the hotel to the clinic

Hey

can sb pls help me out?

Is there a doctor in thailand that is very skillful, and also considerably affordable? I'm thinking of maybe doing a nose job and to fix my uneven double eyelids. My first choice is still going to tw.

Thank you!
