hmmm, been corresponding with Dr Chuang (Taiwan) about my jaw implants. He suggested I do medpor wraparound implants rather than the silicone ones. He even said he will discuss with me to see if I can achieve daniel wu's jawline (wooo~)

I did email Yoskarn about jaw implants the other time. They quoted me 1000 USD for jaw implants and 1000 USD for buccal fat pad removal. I took Tokai in the end because it's cheaper, 40k baht for jaw and buccal.

I know it's still less than 2 mths since my jaw implants, but still quite gan jiong, cos out of all the surgeries i've done, this one is taking the longest to look remotely normal, the jaws look damn big to myself.

this was meant to be my last major surgery. so just wanna get ready for revision just in case, at least get myself mentally prepared for it.

Sampam, you know anyone who's done jaw implants before? Very few surgeons do it in bangkok, and those who do dun have any such pix on their websites, guess the PS industry is still very female-oriented at the moment
1. TOO EARLY!

2. Another reason why I keep saying DONT LOOK AT THE CHEAPEST ONLY but skills, experience, credentials etc

3.medpor goretex and more options exist but jaw implants are something very hard to do to fit what YOU want exactly.

4. Somyos specialises in facial plastic surgery. Tokai doesnt. Again price should not have been the ultimate deciding factor.

5. Did you try those injections?

6. For females its common for men its undesirable why? Usually it wont look good on a man and its very hard to make it look the way YOU think is right or want. Yanhee does it, Somyos does it, Preecha, Poomee and Witoon do it (dont expect the last 2 to be cheap ie Nara tokai pricing)
yeah, dinnoe yoskarn was a high profile place then, else wld have gone there, cos actually 2000 USD wasn't that much more, i could have opted out for buccal fat pad. But also went to tokai because i had already done my lipo there and it was satisfactory... women do jaw implants? i tot they usally want to do jaw bone shaving?

Hi just wanna highlight this. Touch Wood 1st, let say if the implant is not gonna fit you and u need to replaced it with any other doctor, do note that the doctor may required a down time for the removal before the new implants can be inserted. have you check with thw doctors about this down time. i am sure you wouldnt want to fly oversea an dback just to removed it and fly again to insert a new implant.

regarding medpor implant, there a a forumer who did it with dr chuang last year and has pic. u may wanna search if u havent see a live pic from this forumer before... imjase and cupid^n^starz

if her eyes done less than 6 mths, then it SHOULD look fake, cos not recovered yet. obvious swelling itself will take up to 2-3 weeks. after that the crease may look unnaturally high, will have to wait for it to slowly subside. so sometimes we see a person and wonder why look so fake, could be still in recovery stage

read somewhere and not sure about this, that silicon implants (facial, boobs etc) must be changed after some years as it will corrupt into our body?

also after surgeries, around how long do we have to wait before we can smoke/drink?

an oft discussed topic in the other thread "Plastic and cosmetic surgery abroad", dozens of theories abound, jury's still out on it...

yup, conversed with cupid^n^starz last year after he came back from dr chuang, hence that gave me the idea to contact Dr Chuang. Just saw cupid^n^starz on msn recently, looks pretty good now judging from his msn pic, albeit a studio pic, lol :D

hello aadvark13 =)

Does nara listen to what you want or he just does what he want to your eyelids? Cos i feel that a customer's opinion is equally impt to a professional's view ^^

Yep it is. Infact I think he may have had a dealing go with the airline because many stewardesses were going there.

I also think he owns the hotel next door(not sure about this) but I think he does because they are connected and once your out of GA they just wheel you straight into your room. I dont necessarily advocate him for every procedure because there are others that do something else maybe better or even cheaper. But specifically for rhinoplasties hes the best and facial plastics is his area. You only need to look at the positions he holds and his accreditations and certifications to see he is well trained etc. And he operates and teaches daily at the best hospital and university(Mahidol), is head of department and teaches many many others. Also with all that his demeanour is quite good.

Again you did go to Tokai because you had lipo there but that doesnt necessarily mean hes good for everything. Ultimately though get those injections and let the area settle down and then judge.

Women have all kind of procedures done  Some want stronger defined jaws(caucascian, others want it shaved and curved etc).

Yep you could have done this or that but your saying that now out of hindsight. At the time it might have been better if you had searched for a surgeon that specialises in facial plastic surgery.

But for now you had it done so I would suggest wait and get those injects and then see.

Hence why you might see my point that price is not important if you consider that you might have infections, disasterous results, revisions etc but what is important is finding the best for that specific procedure for a price you can afford and get it done right the first time.

lipo or lipodissolve. though if your not fat or extremely chubby etc and just have a small area then lipodissolve is your best bet maybe.

Hi Miss juice,

U did double eyelid? btw, did ur eyes get bigger? Around how many days did stay in Thailand? I want to go in nov/dec.. So I need a lot of information to be more well prepared. Hope u can share with me your experience.. And is the operation painful? Is it possible to cope with everything alone after the sugery?
yep i did dbl eyelid n nose(bridge)
n yes e eyes are so much bigger nw as compared to last time.
Nose wasnt painful but e eyes part was!. I was tearing while he was stitchin. Pain was bearable but u will jus hope he can stitch faster.haha
i went wif another fren who did her bridge n alar.
she went for the surgery 1st n dan me..
so after e surgery she helped me bk to the hotel cos my eyes could barely open + my surgery ended ard 9++/10pm...
Hatyai wasnt as scary as i expected but still nid to be careful.
I tink it will be best if u go wif a fren.
n Ya, Dr. Nara dun do nose tip refinement. so sad!

After e surgery, my whole face swell. And there were bruises along the cheek area. Guess muz b bcos of the implate..It took abt 2wks b4 the bruises went off.
For my eyes, after the 1st wk of surgery, i put on make up n contact lens oreadi. And by the 3rd week, my swelling reduced by alot oreadi.
Nose will take a longer time, thou you can c the effect of the implate but nose still swollen.
ppl told me u will need abt 1 yr for the swelling to subside completely.

hths :D

Hi Ms Juice,
do you know of any place to do tip refinement? and is it possible to send me the pictures of your eyes which u did with Dr nara?
Tks a lot.

I know of many many many people who have done bleph on the eyes both upper and lower and NOBODY has ever told me it was painful!!!! This means the guy is skimping on the anesthesia. For eyes you should be sedated and under twilight and LOCAL too!!! shouldnt feel any pain at all.

Gee wiz like I keep saying rhinoplasty is one of the most difficult surgeries to do. Especially when it comes to refinement and manipulation of the nasal bones, cartilage and structures not just a simple implant and to make it all aesthetically pleasing is difficult.
