Hey there, qwertyuiop wrote:i'm going to get rhinoplasty done at dr nara's clinic. i don't know if i can do my eyelids at the same time because i NEED my specs/contact lenses. i read that it's advisable to avoid putting pressure on the nose for a few weeks after surgery and to wear specs only 3 months after. but apparently, that's not the case (as aadvark wore specs 3 days after surgery). aadvark, nothing went wrong with your nose post-op? did the doctor put your nose in a cast? if he did not, do you think i can request for a splint/cast?
also, i intend to go home the next day. should i wait a few months after the rhinoplasty to do a blepharoplasty? or just get everything done at a go? but i don't know how i'm going to make it back as i'll be by myself.
you've been saving since 12yo?! oh man, u r really determinedpinqx wrote:Hello everybody.. I'm very new here.. 20 yrs old and need rhino.
Been wanting to get my nose reduced (tip and alar) for 8 years. Finally I saved about $1300. I'm planning to do the surgery at Tokai and have emailed Dr. Pat and waiting for his reply.
I was wondering some things:
1) What to bring there (3d2n stay) to reduce swelling the most?
2) For reduction surgery is there any packingor cast/bandage/splint? As I already have a high bridge.
3) What should I take note as I am going to BKK with my best gal fren.. we've both never been there before.. and i'm very scared but determined to do it.
4) When can I go home so its not obvious to my family I did my nose? I am used to covering redness with concealer (cuz i'm always pinching it).
5) How do i ask Dr. Pat for a cheaper price?
I really hope some of you out there who have had rhino reduction before can help me out.. I plan to go 7th May.
Thank you so much. to all of you in advance...
OMG Aadvark is so funny!! hahaha I dunno wanna do alar not gonna see nara next thursday liao...aadvark wrote:you've been saving since 12yo?! oh man, u r really determinedpinqx wrote:Hello everybody.. I'm very new here.. 20 yrs old and need rhino.

1) you can get hold of sineech before the surgery, will help u heal faster
2) yes, there is still a cast even if u not doing ur bridge
3) plan your flights and accomms well and bring enuff cash. if you're both girls, try not to get a hotel hidden in some alley, best if near the main road, safer that way. Most booking sites provide a small map of where the hotel is.
4) if u doing tip it's gonna take a while to heal. the stitches will require like 5 days or more b4 can remove. wun advise to use concealer while it's healing, in case u irritate the wound.
5) u have to consult boii18 on the bargaining bit
... for me, i cheated, i just emailed dr pat and said," you quoted me XXX previously for so-and-so surgery, is it still valid?" of cos, XXX has to be reasonable. Remember to quote XXX in baht for more authenticity. Gosh, can't believe I'm teaching u this
Good luck!
hmmm, still cannot confirm where she did lei. Some people say local, maybe with Martin Huang, some say maybe she did when she was studying in US. Hmmm.... whichever it is, i must say that it's a job well donedaybreakk wrote:OK.. This proves that korean surgeons are damn amazing.aadvark wrote:![]()

well cant imagine so many local man liked this plastic woman w/o knowing it.. even one of my ex idolise her, dawn yeo and paris hilton, i was like Wtf, idolise a plastic idol? lol
nevertheless, i dunt think the surgeon did a nice nose job as it is very obvious to those who knows PS well enough. BTW she and most other local tcs actress and actor (include bryan wong) did their PS with the doctor in paragon.
only phyliss quek did her PS at china. made in china! gosh she is really braved!![]()
but not everyone can tell, depends on what u notice on other people's faces. I always look at the nose first. Some ppl look at the eyes, some mouth, etc... so ppl notice diff things
There is a doctor at Raffles Hospital who does the water lipo. I did vaser lipo but compared to my friend who did the traditional tumescent lipo I got relatively poor results. I was told vaser is better than Smart Lipo. Oh, After Vaser, I was able to go on my own...I could have easily gone shopping etc. Back to doing crunches I guess...sampam wrote:Thanks MBK!![]()
Yep I do know of WAL. However youll have a nightmare finding anybody doing it. I dont know of any in Thailand that do it and even in the states only a few do it. Supposedly its better and less traumatising.
From what I know and think:
The old form of liposuction of just sucking fat out is very tramautic and dangerous.
The newer form(though still old) tumenescent is less tramuatic and painful post surgery but can have sides. However if your under GA then theyll prolly switch it over to super wet( i think thats what they call it) which basically means they use less saline etc solution and more vacuuming since your out anyways bypassing lidocaine toxicity issues, as would be the case in awake states of tumenscent.
Smartlipo(laser) from everyone that has tried it has said it wasnt very painful or traumatic. The key here is to ASPIRATE THE FAT OUT. Dont leave the fat in there. Smartlipo can be done 2 ways- 1. Just laser away and leave the fat there (commonly done at dermatologists etc) 2. Laser and aspirate the fat.
If you do smartlipo INSIST ON ASPIRATING REMOVING THE FAT. Its silly and stupid to leave all that fat there considering smartlipo will probably cost you more and leaving the fat there might only get you 30% of the results had you removed the fat not to mention your hdl/ldl etc will go completely out of wack leaving all that fat there. saline solution etc is still used just like in tumenscent.
VASER or UAL is using ultrasound and uses solution just like tumenescent. Supposedly better than standard but no real life cases show that. Like laser it burns/melts the fat down.
Please wait for six months at least before you decide on surgery again for the jaws. It can take forever for the swelling to dissipate. Does it swell more when you exercise or run? Jaw implants can take well over a year to settle down. Is the numbness improving?aadvark wrote:hmmm, it's been 1 mth, still think my jaws look huge. i have always liked my face shape from the front, just that jawline was not defined from the side, but now my face width has increase to twice its original size. haiz...
shall start sourcing for a revision in case it doesn't go down to a reasonable size. With the bigger width, i look older and fatter, definitely not positive on both accounts. granted, the side view and 45 degree view looks nice and defined, but i have got to face people somehow
